Out of breath
When I hear those words
He is really gone
And I didn't say goodbye
Not even a gesture
A word or a smile
He is far far away
I can't do anything
Not even change his mind
Or share a phrase
Connect with his eyes
Just like last year
I'll never see him again
Is this the end of our story?
The one thing I loved
The one thing I just lost
They say "baby don't suffer"
"You can't lose something you never had"
But what if I got you at some point
What if it was our time
I love sad endings
But not like this, not with you
I thought we would have the chance
Maybe happiness for a while
