Luke watched as Cobain slipped on the clothes he handed her. It's consisted of a Nirvana shirt (Luke's always buying them for her) and a pair of black leggings. "Where are we going today daddy?" She asked Luke as she sat in frnt of him, kicking up her converses for Luke to tie. "Ashton wants us to get out of the house for awhile so probably a bit of shopping and maybe lunch." Luke told her as he finished of the knot on her shoe.
"Are you guys ready yet?" Ashton yelled from down the hallway. He was getting impatient with Luke already and how he always took his precious time for everything. "Yes Ashton. We are done, we can get going now. I'm sorry I have a daughter to take care of okay." Luke said as he took Cobain coat and handed it to her. "It's cold out baby, out it on please. He told her as she just stood there looking at him. "I don't want to dad." She sad as she handed her jacket back.
"Please Cobain. Uncle Ash is getting mad because we are taking sinking and you aren't helping my case, so please, put the jacket on and I'll get you a new toy later. How about one of those dogs that move?" he asked her as his brain tried to come up with the commercials he saw that Cobain said she wanted that specific toy. "Okay." She said right as Ashton showed up. "Really dude, please hurry up." Ash said as he rolled his eyes.
Finally, Luke was able to get Cobain into the car and out in a short amount of time. As the drive up to the mall, Cobain became super cranky, and everyone knew Ashton was already done. Although Ashton cared a lot about Cobain, he was not in the moody to deal with her cranky, stubborn ways today. Ashton also had this huge surprise ad they were going to be late if Cobain kept acting like this.
"Let me see her." Ashton said as he picked Cobain off the ground and into his arms. "Mate, she can walk." Luke argued as he moved his legs fast trying to keep up with Ashton's fast pace walking. "I'm hungry and want to eat." He lied smoothly. Luke just nodded his head as he reached for his daughter. "Can I at least hold her. Please." Ashton handed over Cobain and walked into the diner across the street from the mall.
"There's four of us." Ashton told the waiter and Luke had to double check that there was only 3. "Mate there's only 3 of us." He tapped Ashton's shoulder. Ashton just shrugged it off and Luke became super nervous. 'Maybe this is the girlfriend her told me about last night.' he thought to himself as he say down and gave Cobain the kids colouring menu. "Am I'm going to meet your girlfriend?" Luke asked as he looked around, trying to find if any of the people fit the looking of the girl Ashton had described to her as.
"Mate, she lives in America for a bit longer. You'll meet her the day she gets here I promise." He said as he handed Cobain the black crayon. "Then whose here." He asked as he counted their group again, still only going up to 3. "Someone I want you to meet is all, okay." And with that Luke dropped the subject and helped Cobain colour in the weird looking cat.
"Hey Ashton!" An American voice sounded. "Anna! Nice to see you again! Welcome to Australia." Ashton greeted the girl by standing up and giving her a hug. "Anna, this is Luke and his daughter Cobain." Ashton said as he pointed to each of them. Cobain glanced up giving Anna and smile. "I'm Cobain." she clarified. "Nice to meet you Cobain." Anna laughed as she waved. Luke just steed at the girl. Her short brown hair was messy, but he actually liked it a lot more than he imagined he would. She had big eyes with long black eyelashes framing them and her lips were small. She was definitely different from all the girls he had seen. But he liked that about her. "Luke?" He snapped out of his state as Ashton clapped his fingers. "I'm Luke." Luke said as he stuck out his hand. "I've been told." Anna laughed. "We'll you can just sit next to me, saying Luke's got another girl next to him. Cobain glanced up again to see Anna and Ashton. "Is she your lover Ash?" "No, Cobain. Miranda is the girl I like, this is her friend Anna." Ashton tried to explain. "Can she be Daddy's lover." she asked as she looked back down at her drawing. "No Cobain. Don't ask again." Luke told her with a quiet voice. "It's okay, Ashton told me about you and your situation, I understand completely, my boyfriend died not long ago either. He was killed in a car accident. It was his fault, driving drunk." She explained. Luke just looked at her and tried to take everything in. Her boyfriend does whereas his girlfriend died. He couldn't help but think that Ashton was trying to set them up. "Well, let's order."
After the finished eating, Ashton took Cobain to use the bathroom, leaving Luke and Anna together. "I'm sorry about Cobain, she's grown up around guys who don't know how to keep their mouth shut." "It's totally okay, I don't really know how to either." Anna laughed as Luke stood by the front door waiting for Ashton. "Are you and Ashton close?" Luke asked after standing in quiet for a few seconds. "Um, kinda, well he is dating one of my best friends so I mean I can tolerate him I guess." "tolerate and Ashton don't go into the same sentence usually." Luke chuckled as he held the door open for everyone once Ashton and Cobain came back. "Daddy." Cibain whinnied as she held her arms in the air (like she just don't care. sorry.)Luke bent down and picked her up and continued walking towards the mall.
"Are you going toy shopping too?" Cobain asked loudly to Anna. Anna laughed and nodded her head, "Yeah I was thinking about getting that new Elsa doll." "I love Frozen too!" Cobain. clapped. "Daddy, I want Anna to hold me." She told Luke as she pushed on his chest. "Maybe Anna doesn't want to hold you." He told her as my hey walked into Target. "Anna can push me in the cart trolly then." She said as she crossed her arms over her chest as Luke slid her into her seat and buckled her. "I can push her Luke, it's okay." Anna laughed as she walked by Luke. He held his hands up I. defence and back away from the chart. "Fine." Luke sighed as he walked towards Ashton, who was walking closely behind Anna as they made their way to the toy section.
"Don't be mad, Lucas. Okay. She's just a girl." "Just a girl?! Just a girl?! Ashton, my own daughter probably likes this 'girl' more than she likes me! She already likes all my band mates more than me, why not add another person to the list yeah?" Luke said as his arms flung in the air in frustration. "Dude, Cobain loves you. Okay. She loves you more than I love sleep, and Michael loved his hair dye, and more than Calum loves Emily (his girlfriend 😏)" Ashton sighed. Ever since Hayley had died Luke got emotional over everything. Well he was emotional about most things before she died but after she did he was an emotional wreck. "Fine whatever. I need to get something for Cobain because she's got the doctors appointment tomorrow." He said and ran this hands nervously through his hair.
"Shit dude I forgot about that. Do you want me to go with you? I will." Ashton said as they walked downt he doll isle. Luke looking at each doll. Not one of them catching his eye. "Could you? That would be great. I think we are setting up chemo dates tomorrow." He said as he picked up a 'My little pony' "How 'bout this?" Luke asked as he showed Ashton the pony. "She'll love that."

OKay this a log ass chapter I think, and ive been working on it all day. Okay so the appointment is next chapter, what do you all think of Anna?
