Zach glanced at Roy, whose expression gave nothing away, yet something about it stirred his suspicion. Without a word, he sprang from his seat and hurried to his friend.

"Let's go, we've got to move quickly," Calliso urged him.

Zach trailed behind as they headed to the cafeteria. Despite not fully understanding why, he had a gut feeling about who Calliso was referring to. As they entered the cafeteria, Jacksen hurried over to them in a panic. "Bro, the girl is seriously angry. She's shouting like crazy," he exclaimed with urgency.

Zach could hear the voice of an enraged woman. He pushed through the crowd but struggled to see what was happening. Unable to get a clear view, he hurried to the nearest table and climbed onto one of its chairs. From this vantage point, he witnessed two students, a man and a woman, engaged in a heated argument. His shock hit when he realized the woman was yelling at Clair. He jumped down from the chair and maneuvered through the crowd until he reached the pair still embroiled in their dispute. He circled around them, approaching Clair from the other side. He caught her eye as he drew near.

"What's happening here?" he inquired, his concern evident.

She seemed nonchalant. "That guy came up to me, way too close. I was about to punch him in the face when that girl swooped in and yanked him away. Then they both started yelling."

"Hey, you!" the girl called out, her gaze fixed on Zach.

He turned his attention towards her, awaiting her next words.

"Do you know her? What's her deal with my boyfriend?" she asked, her tone laced with anger.

"Stop it, Maisie. You're making a scene. Look around you," the guy responded, his tone tinged with frustration.

"I don't care, Axen! This is all your fault! You expect me to believe you - again? You're just curious because she looks like someone you know." She scoffed. "Spare me. You're not fooling me this time. Just admit she's one more name on your list." she shot back, her voice laced with fury.

"Hey, stop. Don't talk about her like that. She just got here from Australia. She doesn't even know him. Geez. This isn't her problem, deal with your own issues," Zach said, irritation tightening his voice as he took Clair's hand. "Let's get out of here," he muttered, ushering her away from the scene.

"You heard that? Satisfied?" the guy said sarcastically to his girlfriend.

"Oh, maybe not one of your girls yet, but don't deny it, you were hitting on her," Maisie insisted.

"Jesus Christ, Maisie. You're insane!" the guy snapped.

"I'm what?" she asked, clearly taken aback.

"You're crazy! Go fuck with yourself," he shot back.

"Hah! Don't act all high and mighty, because my middle finger is way better than your wiener," she retorted, giving him the middle finger.

Zach briefly remembered a similar incident that had once happened to him, but he quickly pushed the thought aside and kept walking, guiding Clair with him, until a loud whistle cut through the air.

"What trouble are you two making now?" a man yelled.

Zach suspected it might be a teacher, so he quickened his pace while maintaining his grip on Clair's hand.
