Filbur arrived right on time. The moment he stepped in, he went straight to work, treating Clair and Zach at the same time while Per and Ark assisted him under his direction.

It didn't take long for them to understand what had happened to Clair. The wound in her chest was not caused by the transformation, it was a stab wound from her own dagger. The weapon had been recovered nearby, not far from the pit.

She had tried to end her life again, likely in a desperate effort to stop the evil within her before it consumed her completely. On top of that, the dark power coursing through her had torn through her body, leaving a network of injuries across her skin and wings.

Still, she had survived. And for now, she was stable.

Zach's condition was slowly improving as well. His burns had been carefully treated, and the cut on his face had been stitched shut, though none of them could determine exactly how he had sustained it.

He remained unconscious, but Filbur was confident it was only a matter of time before he woke.

"You said you let the boy go into the hall to save Clair. Is that what happened?" Fil asked, methodically wiping his tools with a white cloth.

"We're not sure. We all stayed outside and... just waited," Per replied, hesitation tightening her voice.

Filbur's expression didn't change. "You put Zach's life in danger. That was reckless. You understand that, right?"

Ark lowered his head and said nothing. Guilt settled over him in silence.

"At least they're both alive. But this cannot happen again," Filbur said, firm but controlled.

His eyes then moved to Cerro, who had been sitting quietly on the single couch. "Clean it up. The hall, the mess, everything. Make sure no one else saw what happened here. And this stays with us."

Cerro finally spoke, eyes lifting to meet the room. "The boy isn't included, right? Then wipe his memory. After that, I'm certain this won't happen again."

"We should wait until Clair wakes up," Per said, anxiety tightening her words. "Let her decide."

Cerro scoffed, irritation breaking through his composure.

"She's right," Filbur said. "Zach has always been Clair's concern. It's her decision, whether to keep him in her life or cut him out."

Cerro pushed himself up from the seat. "I don't understand why you always insist on complicating things for Clair," he said, his tone edged with frustration. Without waiting for a reply, he turned on his heel and walked out.

Silence held in the room even after the door clicked shut.

Filbur let out a quiet sigh as he zipped his bag. "Just bear with him. He's an Ermilord, loyal to his beliefs since I've known him. He won't easily understand what Clair is truly going through."

After some time, Zach finally regained consciousness. The instant his eyes fluttered open, he felt lost, as though his mind had been stripped of everything. Silence filled him for a brief moment, until fragments of memory slowly resurfaced. Confusion came first, then fear, and finally a sorrow so heavy it nearly crushed him from within.
