Kenzi POV:

I lay on that cold table, still chained up, hearing my babies screams and the low voices of the ones who held me here. Every now and then, a masked figure would come over to me and peel off some of my flesh and take samples of my tissues and muscles, or draw blood from my throat and remove a finger nail of mine. It was torture. I had only been here roughly three hours, but I could tell they wanted to get whatever they were doing over with fast.

"You know, it's a shame your Alpha doesn't care about you," Lidia snickered as she came close enough for me to see her face. "Or maybe it's rather unfortunate that he does still give a shit about you. If he knew what was best for his pack, he'd let you die here like the abomination of nature that you are."

"The only abomination around here is you and your sick pets." I spat at her.

"We have not gone against nature with our existence. A werewolf witch hybrid is out of the question. Nature doesn't allow such power to be so concentrated into one being. So it is our job to dispose of it." Lidia snapped.

"You do know I'm not the only werewolf witch hybrid, don't you? There is bound to be thousands of others roaming the earth. There is no way you can kill all of them!" I growled. Lidia stalked over to me and pulled out a silver dagger. She stabbed it into my side, making me scream as the silver burned off my flesh.

"Hmm, well at least you're not so much of a monster that silver can't harm you. For a hybrid you really are quite pathetic." Lidia smiled at me before driving the dagger further into my side. I screamed in pain as I thrashed under the torture, tears rolling down my face as I struggled against her.

Lidia suddenly straightened up, her eyes wide and furious.

"Looks like your rescue party is here." Lidia snarled. "I guess we'll have to finish up our little party quicker than I had planned." She lifted another silver dagger and drove it into my chest, just an inch below my heart. I screamed and bawled as the silver began to poison me, making me weak and shaky.

"Ma'am, what about the babies?" a scared male voice came from behind Lidia.

"Leave them. We need to move out now." Lidia snarled. She turned and all the occupants of the room drifted quickly out. I moaned in pain as my eyelids started to droop. I noticed a furry figure in the door way, but was already too far gone to pay much attention to it.

I woke up slowly, my chest aching in pain, cold air filtering into my lungs as subtle beeps came from all around me. I rubbed my eyes as I sat up, whimpering.

"Mackenzie, oh thank god you're alright!" I heard Charlotte's voice. "I've mind linked Grant he'll be here any sec-"

"Kenzi!" Grant's voice boomed out, and I began to sob helplessly as I reached out for him.

"Grant please don't leave me!" I begged as I saw him sit down beside me on my hospital bed. "I'm so scared... I-I almost died...and the babies!"

"The babies are fine my love," Grant murmured to me as he kissed my forehead. "Everything is fine. Just calm down okay?" I nodded and he kissed my neck softly.

"I'm so glad you're alright." He breathed roughly as he held me close. "My mate. I'll never lose you again."
