«At this point you can just go and shake her mothers hand" Hades mimicked Jay as he took of the jacket that had Celinas scent lingering on it. Roses and Strawberries. "Typical girls" he muttered, slinging it somewhere in the shop as he took of the shirt clinging on his muscular body. Without any more wait, he crunched down and grabbed his tools to go back to fixing the car he had been working on before he was disturbed.

"I can swear on God, I did not know it was her" Jay explained, running after his friend and standing above him, watching him fix a mess with the wires coming from god knows where in the car. "What was she doing here anyway?" he asked, asking the question Hades had been thinking about all alone.

"Why should we care?" Hades snapped, his back getting rigid. "She can be and do whatever she wants. We do not need to involve us in her business. The less we know about her, the better" he rushed out and turned his face to Jay to show him the serious expression on her face.

Jay held his hand in surrender and smiled in amusement: "maybe she was in a party with the Easters and forgot the way" he chuckled and watched as Hades furrowed his brows as an order for him to stop talking. However, his friend loved a good laugh and proceeded; "Or maybe she was fucking a man who left her and boom-" he started off until Hades threw the tool away and gripped Jays collar harshly.

"He left us!" the sound of his mother crying was planted in his mind and he could almost see the vision of her tear stained cheeks. She was crying, and he was on the other side of the door, spying on her. He was scared that she would hurt herself, she had tried many times and each time she was unable to fully leave her young son. Hades wanted to cry at the hurt he heard in his mothers' cries, but he couldn't. he had to be strong for her and everyone else. Therefore, he left his mother crying in the living room and locked himself in the bathroom to escape from hearing his mother tear herself down for the man who would just come back tomorrow. Then he would have to watch the abuse again when she would take him back. Making her sons heart fill up with hope and then shatter just like that.

"Shut the fuck up if you don't want me to punch your face in" he seethed, all gentleness getting wiped away in an instant.

Jay, who understood what he had said and the reaction of his friend, nodded understandingly; "I am sorry man. I didn't mean it like that. I completely forgot, swear. I was just building up suspense for-" he spoke fast, trying to not fall under the fist Hades was currently clenching.

"For what?!" Hades threw Jay towards the wall and proceeded to walk away, collecting his jacket and putting it on. He was irritated for many reasons; for going back to the mechanic shop, for showing interest about Celinas bruise, for showcasing his concern, for the constant memories that bothered him and so much more. He was frustrated and even his job was not enough to calm him down now. It only reminded him of a certain someone.

"Check this out" Jay called after him and turned on the news that were raving about a car designer from the East who had a party for some reason. "This fucker is having a party for a launch that he hasn't even published" Jay chuckled and casually sat down on the counter, as if they were lounging around at home.

"What he fuck does that have to do with me?" he asked in a gruff tone and made a disgusted face at the sight of the man on the news. He was bragging about his company like a brat. However, it wasn't that he focused on. It was the horrible fashion sense that had made the man wear a horrible red suit and slick his hear back, giving him a face lift till the point where he couldn't even smile naturally. "Poor guy" he muttered under his breath, in absolute disgust.

Jay chuckled and nodded at the look on Hades face. "Wait for it" he said and picked up the remote, fast forwarding the tape. The sight of a girl they knew too well entered the screen and blurred in front of their eyes. Hades stopped the fast forwarding and muttered a "Aha". Hades watched as Celina smiled brightly and plastered on his side. They were standing there like a couple and even though he tried his best to play unbothered, the monsters in his head was feeling some type of way. They shifted in anger and even Hades couldn't take his eyes away from the mans hand that was draped around her exposed back. He was rubbing it and even pressed her closer to him, as if that even was possible.

Why was he angry? That was probably her boyfriend. The man she would go to when she would tell about the bruise. He would fix the issue for her and they would go back to being happy. That was it.

He tried giving the monsters in his head false information to lay low, but it was when she whispered in her eye and they inched closer that he cleared his throat. He didn't want to see them kiss and stormed to Jay, holding up the remote to shut off the tv where the couple had locked lips. The screen went blank and it didn't take more than a second, before he was out of the shop leaving Jay there in utter confusion.

The drive was spent in utter silence, the only sound coming from the low grunts he would make in frustration when the cars from opposite lanes wouldn't dim their lights and it would hurt his eyes badly. Making them sting slightly.

The thoughts about the bruise on her neck bothered him. Maybe it was because it reminded him of his mother who would always hide her marks from him. She would lie too and play stupid, hurting him much more than what she knew. He couldn't do anything then and now his mother was dead. Buried 6 feet under the ground somewhere in Italy where he couldn't even go and visit her.

The vision of the cars started getting blurry, but he shook his head trying to focus on the road. His body that had been desperate for sleep and food was now giving up at the wrong time and he tried his best to spare some time. His one hand clutched his head and he let out a deep grunt when he started seeing two of everything. He was only a street down from his flat and he bit his lip harshly to take his mind off from falling down. He felt his body warm up at suddenly he felt like throwing up.

It wasn't long before he parked horribly outside his flat and stumbled into his flat like a drunken man. He was swaying back and forth, sweating terribly now. Just as he stepped his foot inside, his body gave away and he fell on the floor of his old flat in a loud thud.

"Forget about that now. Tell me how you are" Lorenzo asked his daughter on the phone. She grinned wildly, happier than usual. Her happiness did have something to do with the healer who had kissed her neck, but she didn't tell anyone that.

"I am good father. I miss you" she told him and frowned slightly at the end of the sentence. She really was connected to her father at all times and it was moments like these were she actually realized how much time she spent in his company.

"And me and mommy misses you more. I would have taken you with me princess, but you are safer there than here" her father told her and she just agreed, not wanting to spend time on disagreeing with him. She spent her time talking to her parents, giggling and snorting at times when they would joke or shade each other.

However, as hours passed by they were forced to cut the call. They said their goodbyes with heavy hearts and lots of caring words. Celina decided to check up on Ryder and ask when they would meet to start their investigation. She actually knew that she shouldn't have to be there, but she wanted to spend time with him. The investigation was only an excuse to feel the butterflies in her stomach again.

Deep within she knew she was playing with fire. Not only was she going behind her parents back to hire a tracker to find James, but he happened to be someone from the West too. And as if that wasn't enough, she found him attractive and wanted to spend time with him willingly. WHEN SHE HAD A FIANCE.

"Well fuck" she whispered to herself and let her finger press on the call button. She waited and waited for him to pick up, but he never did. Her throat felt dry in anticipation and her hands felt sweaty. She even started practicing what to say when he finally picked up.

Hi Ryder, when can we meet up? No, too desperate

Hi, I was wondering when to start with the tracking thing? No, too....stupid

Hi, I forgot to ask but shouldn't we meet up so I can give you the details? Ehhhh

She didn't like any of the options and hearing as he wasn't picking up, she cut the call and frowned. He would have been awake by now so why wasn't he picking up? Maybe he was working, she thought to herself and went on with her day. Occasionally checking up on her phone to see if he had called her back.
