Another round of loud thunder resonated through the air as wind blew harshly against the weak windows of the old flat. It felt as if the whole house was shaking by the way Celina could literally hear the sound of the wind whistling a tune outside the window. Despite of the old and cheap flat, Celina found herself feeling homelier there than in the mansion that was filled with guards and maids. She did not mind how everything in the flat was practical and probably much cheaper than what would have been deemed "acceptable" in the East. Everyone there were too interested in their pearls, diamonds, power and their image to even think about more important issues such as poverty in the West. The thought had always bothered her, but she was in no position to lecture anyone. Hell, she was engaged to Sebastian Williams. It didn't get more ignorant than that.
"I cannot let you go today" Hades spoke up when Celina walked out of the bathroom. She tried her best not to be startled by his voice, but the statement made her furrow her brows. She had to be back to the mansion before someone noticed that she was away. The guards and maids were busy, but she knew that Gretas sweet soul would come to bid her goodnight as she did every night.
At that thought, she shook her head quickly and pouted slightly. Her thick brows furrowed slightly, creating a crease in the middle. Hades watched as the bare faced beauty in front of him looked even more beautiful without the extra make up. Her long legs were on display for him and even though his shirt covered her bottom, he could still see the beauty she was hiding away from him. She looked pure and the thought of that made him not think about her that way. He was tainted and everything that touched him was meant to be tainted too.
"I appreciate everything you have done for me" Celina spoke up as she shifted on her legs uncomfortably. "But I have to be back at the mansion before anyone notices that I am gone. You know my father, don't you? He will get worried if he gets the news that I am missing" she explained, putting her worn flowy dress on the bed.
Hades nodded, not knowing what to say about her question. Quite frankly, he didn't know her father because he had been too busy getting tortured in a cell. So instead he revealed to her the decision he had already made: "I will not let you walk out of here with back pain in this terrible weather without any transport when there are junkies wandering around like creeps. Your clothes aren't the most befitting either"
There was no argument to his statement, but he didn't know that he had butted heads with Celina who was adamant on leaving. Even though she liked herself in the small and cozy flat with Ryder as her mother goose, she knew that being away the whole night would be a disaster. If Sebastian was to find out, she would be dead.
"Trust me, I am more than capable of going home safely" she lied to Hades who didn't believe a single word of that. "My sense of direction is perfect" even a bigger lie was presented by Celina, but Hades only shook his head as a denial to her request.
"Or I can call my friend to pick me up-" she tried instead, but this time she was quickly cut off by the man in hiding. "You will do no such thing. I will take you instead" he rambled out and just as the words spilled out of his mouth, his heart slowed down in beating. Almost as if it was saddened and wanted to be left alone.
Celina, who was supposed to be relieved, formed a frown on her face. "Oh" she mumbled with disappointment as she looked at Hades who was standing by the door with a cup of tea and a white towel on his shoulder. She now noticed the fireplace that was lit and the bed that was made perfectly with a warm duvet. The warmth radiating around the house was complete opposite to the wind storm outside and somehow, she felt saddened at the thought of leaving. It felt as if this image would disappear once she placed a foot outside the flat. She had never been the one to get separation anxiety and especially not with a stranger, but he didn't feel like one. Instead it felt as if they were a lot more alike than they knew.
"On one condition though" the raspy voice of Hades resonated in the warmth of his flat. He took long strides towards the girl who was standing in his room in his shirt. Never had he even heard of Celina Moretti, but even if he had, he would never have guessed she would be that beautiful. "Drink this up and I will find more covering clothes for you" he told her, stepping even closer to her. The monsters in his head was starting to jump around and cheer, making him take actions that he would never take. Like how he moved the hair strand behind her ear and whispered in her ear sensually; "Not everyone deserves to see a beauty like you"
Just when the words had slipped out of his lips, Celina sucked in a breath. She looked into Hades eyes that were filled with unknown emotions that were hidden so well that she wondered if she was imagining seeing them at all. She could feel his even breath on her bruised neck that he had gripped tightly and a thought about him kissing the skin to soothe the pain entered her mind. Her back was hurting too, maybe he could kiss that too her thoughts were going in a frenzy. She could swear that her consciousness had a personality on its own because the things that lingered in her mind were not normal.
"Ryder?" she whispered back, feeling too many emotions at once. He hummed sensually, still not realizing that his monsters were making him play with fire. "I-" she started off, but was silenced when she felt cold fingers trace the forming bruise on her neck. She inhaled sharply, making a satisfied feeling buzz in Hades blood.
"I truly am sorry about this" he whispered, to which Celina nodded. "I know" she whispered back and stared deep into his hypnotizing eyes. Suddenly everything was forgotten. The maids, the guards, her parents and even her ignorant fiancé. The same applied for Hades who had been completely one with the monsters in his mind. He pushed away the pain in his head that made his vision blurry and focused on the ecstasy he was feeling; "If there is anything I can do to-" he started off, to which she nodded eagerly.
You can kiss it better, her consciousness screamed but she didn't utter those words. "Stop blaming yourself, deal?" she chose instead to be on the safe side. The man would think she was a weirdo if she uttered it aloud. Hades nodded, still in a awestruck zone of the beauty in front of him.
"I can do that, gattina. Deal" was the last thing he said before urging her to drink the tea that was getting colder by each passing moment. She watched as he walked around the flat finding her warm and covering clothes to wear. In that moment, where everything was how it wasn't supposed to be, she felt almost....content.
