«Are you sure that was Hades?" William asked panicked, as he sweated furiously.
Sebastian winced as the nurse laid an ice pack on his knee. He had been checked by the doctor and was admitted in hospital quickly. His back was badly hurt, and he had sprained his knee and neck. All of these injuries were bad, but the fingerprints on his neck stood out like a sour thumb. They stood as a contrast to his fair complexion and matched the bruises on his face perfectly. Not to mention the blue bruise adorned on his eye. He was a canvas of Hades work.
"Of course, I am! I did get some time to look that fucker in the eyes before he-" Sebastian scowled before he breathed out in frustration. "How did he even come in?! And does he know who I am?!"
The Morettis who were present in the hospital room sat and watched the man sulk like a baby over how he had gotten beaten up by a prisoner and not gotten help. He bragged about how he had managed to live and was going to "kill that bastard".
"-then he made me stand against the wall with an apple on my head and guess what? He fucking aimed it at it and did not miss once!" Sebastian nearly cried to his father who was fuming. At that sentence, Celinas ears perked up and she whipped her head to her beaten up fiancé.
"How did he look?" she asked, standing up abruptly. She had thought over her conversation about who Ryder was and every time the prisoner came to her mind, she scoffed and denied her consciousness. The kind and caring man she was falling for was not a prisoner at all. He could not be.
Upon her question, Sebastian raised his eyebrows and laughed. "Oh, what a good question" he emphasized each word as the threats from the lost prisoner flooded into his mind. "Let me think Celina, he had an ugly personality, disgusting looks and bad manners"
His anger was clear in the air and there was nothing more he wanted to do than to tell his father that his fiancé was having an affair with the princess of the East. That would give him media coverage, but not power. And he was still shaking in his boots from meeting the prisoner and would not risk meeting him again.
"So, everyone in the East?" Moretti joked, getting snickers from his side of the family. "I need details boy"
Sebastian sulked as he answered: "Tall, broad, blue eyes, black hair that's kinda long" his description did nothing to help and everyone watched him with disappointed. "Oh, I know!" a bulb lit up in his mind. "He has a scar or something right here" he said and pointed to his forehead and eyebrow.
The conversation went on after that, but Celinas eyes widened in realization. She had officially fallen for the prisoner that everyone was searching for. The man that had become a myth and for her, a dream. This was bad, really really bad.
"Hello? You still there?" Grace waved her hands in front of her best friend who had zoned again, yet again.
"What? Yes, yes" Celina nodded quickly, shaking off the feeling of both fear and confusion.
"Tell me then!" her friend said again, sitting on her bed as she leaned forward in curiosity.
"I don't even know where to start" Celina breathed out and watched as the moon was adorning the sky. She was now back in the mansion, leaving her fiancé in the hospital where he had to be for a month or so. She didn't want to say it, but she was happy that he had gotten beaten up so that their wedding could be prolonged.
"Hmm maybe a name?" Grace said ironically, not knowing that the name of the man was the worst thing.
Celina shook her head, not answering. She was confused on what to do. She could either tell her parents so they could go and take him from the flat, but she would never do that. she did not have the heart to turn in the man who had helped her. He had been willing to find her family friend and even took care of her when she had been hurt. She knew him deeply and knew that he was no murderer. She did not know why he was in a jail to begin with, but she did not want him to go back.
