«She isn't going to pick up" Jay spoke from behind Hades who had called Celina nonstop.
"For how long can she avoid me?" he asked and continued hearing the phone ring. He was feeling terrible and wanted to apologize for the things he had said. He hadn't meant it. He was just too stressed and angry at the people who had stolen from Jays shop and he directed that anger on the girl.
"You shouldn't have screamed at her brother. Since when did we start to do that to ladies? Plus, she came here to see you because she was so worried about your well-being. And you fucking screamed at her? What a fucking Romeo you are-"
"Shut the fuck up Jay. Are you here to help or to scold me?" Hades scowled and threw the phone to him. "Continue while I try to fix this" he said as he neared the computer that had an address written on it. He furrowed his brows when his friend surprisingly became quit, so he looked back to see Jay who was focused typing?!
Hades became alert immediately and shouted; "COME HERE" to trap Jay to come near. The boy ran up to him in excitement, but was let down when Hades snatched his phone back and smiled tightlipped. "I said call her, don't text her" to which his friend just shrugged and watched the address on the screen.
His reaction was the same and his eyebrows raised in surprised as he realized that the address was located in the West. "He lives here?" he asked, to which Hades nodded confused. "Why?"
The question was lingering in their minds and they pondered upon why a man like James Smith would be living with the street rats. "Maybe because-" Hades started but was cut off by his phones ringtone. He answered immediately, not wasting a minute to wait.
"Hello?" a girl talked from the other side, but it wasn't Celina. Hades didn't sense the velvety voice that made his stomach flip. No butterflies churned in his stomach and neither did the monster cheer.
"Uh hey? Can I talk to Celina?" he asked politely and put the conversation on speaker as he tried handing the phone to Jay forcefully who held up his arms and ran to the other room.
"Celina isn't home yet. I know that she went to meet you Ryder, but she hasn't come back. Her parents have come from Italy and everyone is asking for her" Grace whispered in the phone she had heard ringing in her best friends room.
"What? She left for an hour ago. She should be there" Hades panicked voice made Jay speed walk back to the room Hades was currently pacing in.
"Oh my god. What happened? Did something happen?" she asked worriedly and upon not hearing an answer from the man, she whispered again; "By the way, I am Grace. Her bestie for life and the sailer of every ship in her life. With an exception of Snobby Sebastian"
Hades didn't understand anything of that and he looked at Jay in confusion. "Come on" Jay pointed to the phone and as a result, Hades explained: "We had a little- well, not exactly little, but a fight. Not even that. Just a misunderstanding".
