Shop Until You Drop...

It was a little ways away, I mean, there were no major grocery stores in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, they were in Oak Dale, Minnesota. Which was the closest. But we sat there smiling, I felt so close to him.

When we finally got there and we all ran into the store. I made my mom gets us cookie stuff to give us something to do. We all stood in the aisle laughing fighting over which cookies to make. I wanted chocolate chip, because I wasn't a huge fan of plain vanilla or sugar cookies.

It was Shawn and I, against Paige and Kaylee. Finally my mom came and said to make chocolate chip. We all laughed as we went with a list of things my mom wanted us to get. Grabbing extra snacks. I grabbed mint Oreos. Just because my mom doesn't like mint foods, so I knew she wouldn't take them. I had to worry about Kaylee taking them, they were her favorite.

After Paige and Kaylee walked off, Shawn grabbed my hand, interlocking our fingers. I looked down at our hands blushing, smiling. Just happy I had him.

"You're smile makes my day." Shawn said making me blush harder. "Stop it." I giggled. "No!" Shawn said running, pulling me behind him. I laughed as he ran into the freezer section. He opened one of the doors and threw red velvet cake ice cream at me.

"We should eat this by ourselves." Shawn said laughing. "You'll probably hog it all." I giggled. I was laughing so hard, I accidentally snorted. Shawn pinched my cheeks as I started blushing again. "Awe, my baby is so cute!" He said in a teasing tone of voice. "Get off me." I said slapping him lightly. "OW!" He screamed blowing it out of proportion. "You're such a faker!" I laughed. He held his cheek pretending it hurt.

"CALL 9-1-1! SHE'S BEING ABUSIVE!" Shawn yelled. "SHAWN WHAT IF THEY ACTUALLY CALL 9-1-1?!" I said looking around at the other customers staring. He laughed his adorable laugh. "I'm kidding everyone! She could never hurt me!" He said grabbing my face in his hands and kissing me.

I heard some people say 'Awe!' And I heard others calling us crazy. "I love you." He whispered staring in my dark brown eyes. "I love you too." I whispered staring into his perfect light brown eyes.

"Mom?" I yelled going through the store. "Mrs. Jordan's mom?" Shawn yelled as we walked swinging our hands as we walked. I looked down one aisle and stopped in my tracks. I ran down the aisle.

"Paige-OH MY GOD KAY WHAT HAPPENED?!" I screamed falling down towards Paige lying on the ground. "Mom?!" I screamed. She was in the next aisle. "What, Jordan?" She said sounding annoyed. "Call 9-1-1! Paige is unconscious!" She ran to us calling an ambulance.

I remember when they got there they had to restart her heart.

How badly did he hurt her was all I could think about... What did he do... All we saw was stab wounds, but I think he injected something in her veins... Something the hospital couldn't trace in her blood... Question is: What did he inject?

My parents drove us and all the food home. They gave us the keys and I drove to the hospital. Shawn sat in the passenger seat next to me, holding my hand as I drove. We were all nervous. When I turned into the parking lot, a car was pulling out really fast and almost slammed into us. "Holy shit!" Shawn yelled as I slammed the breaks. "Fuck he almost killed us! What a fucking nimrod!" Shawn yelled. We couldn't see the driver, all the windows were tinted and even the wind shields were tinted.

Shawn seemed extremely pissed off about it. But I just shrugged it off. Parked the car, and got out. Walking into the hospital. The nurse stopped us, asking who we were. "We're her friends." Shawn said pulling me back. "Well only family can visit her." The nurse said. "Well her family are in Connecticut!" I said as my eyes filled with angry tears. "Ma'am her family don't know she's hurt. Her phone is broken. We can't get in touch with them... Maybe if you call them and they give you proof of being her parents... Can they give you permission to let us see her? I'm sure they don't want her to be alone." Shawn said with hopefulness in his voice. "It doesn't work like that. I'm sorry." The nurse said seemingly to not care. "We need to see her! She'll think we hate her if we're not there when she wakes up!" I said trying to break free from Shawn's grip. "Well that's not my problem." The nurse said walking away.

I stood there, glaring at the nurse. I have never been so upset in my entire life. Never.

We all sat down in the waiting room. Shawn and I sat on a bench. Pretty soon he fell asleep, I knew he was tired. "Okay, I think I'm going to make an acceptation..." The nurse said walking up. "What do you mean?" Kaylee hopped up, I stayed quiet so I didn't wake Shawn up. "Well she woke up crying. Begging for some people named 'Kaylee, Shawn, Matt and Jordan'?" The nurse said. "I'm Kaylee, that's Shawn and Jordan. Her boyfriend is Matt who went missing." Kaylee said pointing to Shawn and I.

I stayed quiet because I knew Shawn was tired, he drove all that time with no break. "Kaylee you go back, I'll stay out here with Shawn." I whispered. She nodded and followed the nurse.

I moved closer to Shawn. I saw him smile slightly. I wrapped my arms around him. He looked so innocent. I pulled out my mom's iPod I took earlier. And started playing Temple Run. I had lost track of time. When the iPod gave me a notice of it being to 20% battery. And I checked the time, it was 9:30 pm. Kaylee walked out because it was past visiting hours. So we needed to leave. I woke Shawn up, I felt bad for waking him up. We all walked to the car and drove home. I was so tired.

We all walked up to my room. My mom said we should all sleep in the basement and watch the big TV down there. We all made our own individual pallets of blankets. I turned on a Harry Potter movie for Shawn. And Kaylee and I went into the bathroom trying different ways of doing our hair and makeup, because Kay and I hate watching Harry Potter movies.

I did a smokey eye with different tints of blue, then put on black eye liner and winged it at the end. I pulled my hair back into a pony tail, straightened my bangs. And added a few curls to the loose hair in my pony tail. I smiled as I looked in the mirror. I felt pretty. I walked out and Shawn started blushing. I sat on my pallet, Kay's and mine were on each side of him. Shawn kept staring at me. "What?" I looked at him smiling. "You look so beautiful. I can't believe you're my girlfriend." Shawn said completely in amazement. "I can believe it. We're no longer idiots by ourselves. Now we're idiots together." I said laughing. "Well at least you're an attractive idiot! I'm ugly!" Shawn said blushing. "Ha. Ha. Very funny Shawn. You're perfect and you always have been." I said in a very serious tone. "You don't know what I looked like growing up." Shawn said looking down. "You're mom showed me all the pictures of you as a kid babe. I do. And I think you were always cute, just cuter now." I said crawling over to him. I moved into his lap and he wrapped his arms around me.

This was the only thing that could get me to ever watch a Harry Potter movie. I rested the back of my head into his muscular chest. He pressed his lips against my head and kept kissing it every so often.

I started getting really tired. And before I knew it, it was 3 a.m. And I was sleeping right next to Shawn. I have no idea when I fell asleep but I was not going back to sleep any time soon. I got up and went downstairs. I turned on the tv to That's So Raven, because it came on really late at night every so often. (That's so Raven is an old Disney Channel show that ran from about the years 2002-2006 starring Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman.)

I went into the fridge to grab a snack. I grabbed a small vine of grapes and a glass of apple juice. And continued watching TV.

Pretty soon the sun started to rise and I started getting tired. Before I knew it I woke up in my bed at about 11 a.m. I had no idea how I got there.
