The first thing I did after I finished lunch was rush to the hospital wing.

I know, so weird, since my worst enemy since, like, forever was there.

Well, plot twist on you, I came there because my worst enemy since forever was there.

I found him moved to a cot in the far corner, away from all the noise, with his back to me. I didn't know if he was sleeping or not.

Remember what you came here for. I reminded myself. I opened my mouth, but he suddenly turned around.

"Granger! What a surprise," he said, sitting up.

"I-I-I-" For some weird reason, the words caught in my throat. I cleared it awkwardly, looking anywhere in the room but those silver eyes.

"Alright, spit it out." he said, "What did you come here for?"

I took a deep breath. "I came here to say I'm sorry. For hitting you with a door."

     "You've already said that yesterday."

"Well, yeah, but I just feel really bad. It was an accident, I didn't see you! That must've really hurt though, like you were bleeding all over the place, it was so terrible, like that could have given you some permanent brain damage or something, an-"

"Hey hey hey! It's okay. Look, I'm mostly better now." He grinned, pointing at his face, and I noticed that he only had a faint black eye and a scratch near his nose, but otherwise, he looked completely normal. I also noticed how dazzling his smile was. It was almost like Lockhart's-

"Oh, shoot! Class is in twenty minutes!" I exclaimed, beginning to panic a little. Never in my life had I been late for class. I'd hate to break my streak now!

"So? That's plenty of time to get there," he said, turning around to fluff a pillow and prop it behind his back.

"But you need to come too!" I blurted out.

     "Why?" he asked.

"Uhm, I want you to come because, well, if you get bad grades, I can't help but think it's all my fault," I said, looking at the ground.

"Well, I suppose..." he looked at Madam Pomfrey, who was sitting in a chair reading. She gave us a thumbs up without looking up from her book. Slowly, he swung his legs over the side of the bed, and wobbly stood up.

I gave a small "oof" when he stumbled and grabbed my shoulders for balance. We looked into each other's eyes, and I... I...

He was the first to look away, blinking and taking his hands off my shoulders. "Sorry," he mumbled before taking a few shaky steps towards the door. I sighed, but I wasn't sure if it was because of his stupidity or because those grey eyes just swallowed me whole. I chose to believe the first one.

"Hey, do you even know where you're going?" I called after his retreating back. Draco stopped. I rolled my eyes. "Here, follow me."

"It's Defense Against the Dark Arts, with the new teacher," I explained as we walked down the corridor. He couldn't exactly walk fast, so I was forced to slow down. We'll make it on time though, according to my calculations.

He groaned. "With that Lockhart guy? Something tells me that DADA won't be good this year."

I gaped. "Have you read his books? He's so brave! And his look- I mean, adventures, are fantastic! Not to mention he's an incredible writer. Such thrilling reads."
