Great. Just as I was on the last step of the process, he appears. I try to act nonchalant, just a random Slytherin that is just walking by.
"Hey, can you move? I need to get through." I say in my best Slytherin swag voice, trying to push past him. Malfoy moves his body to block me.
"Uh, I need to get through too." He says, blocking my every move. I give up and look at him. He glances down to the book in my hand. "Heyy, I have the same book. Wait. There is only one copy of this in the Hogwarts library, and I checked it out." He looks suspiciously at me.
I swallow, and try to speak in the strongest voice I can. "Well, I bought this from my house. I got it from a store." He rolls his eyes, and holds out his hand.
I stare at it.
He impatiently waves it, obviously signaling me to give it to him. I look at his face again.
Let's play dumb.
"What?"
Malfoy rolls his eyes again, exhaling demandingly. "I want to check it to see if it has the library stamp."
Oh. Right.
I reluctantly hand it over, casting a hiding charm as I move my arm. Now he won't be able to find it.
He takes it in his hand and turns it over, squinting. Then he takes out his wand. Eh. At least he's not smart enough to know the Specialis Revelio spell, to make it appear. That's like, a fifth year spell.
"Specialis Revelio."
Wha...
I stare dumbfounded as the ink slowly seeps onto the paper revealing the words Hogwarts Library on it in bold, black letter. He looks at me again. I think quickly.
"Oh, sorry, must have accidentally grabbed the wrong one. Uhm...I gave it to Madam Pince to, uh, take off the stain that I accidentally spilled on it. Pumpkin juice, ya know, very, uhm, stainy. And so, er, yeah, there were two of them side by side, and I think I grabbed the wrong one. So, ah, I think I will be headed there now, to, uh, get my, uhm, real book back, right? Hehe, uh...see ya later bye." I slipped last Malfoy and darted out of the room.

I watched her hurry down the hall. No use chasing her now. What would I do anyway, after I had caught up with her? I just shook my head and looked at the book in my hands.
How much did she know?
And they have a fun summer with their family, yadda yadda, all that shit...and end Year 1! Yayy... don't worry, I'll try not to kill them off after a few chapters. though have to warn you guys, I'm going to make Year 2 a bit short, because I have some plans for Year 3.
