He stopped her because he could see she was looking at the flowers and decorations and he was afraid she would see it. However, it was not the time for it, yet.

After the dinner, they cleaned the dishes together even though Patrick insisted that he would do it on his own, Ellen wanted to enjoy this moment with him, pretending they are living together and this is just another part of their daily life. She could definitely get used to it. She was wondering if it would always look like this, laughing, playing, making fun of each other or if it would fade away after some time but then she realized that this is her and Patrick, the man she's been in love for more than two years and she's never stopped.

"Ellen?" she heard his voice which interrupted her thoughts. She didn't realize she was so deep in her thoughts she'd completely forgotten he was talking to her.

"What?" she asked him, little bit confused but he smiled at her and cupped her face with his hands. She looked at his sparkling eyes and gorgeous smile she will never get tired of.

"Where did you go?" he laughed. "I was just asking if you are ready for the movie." He let go of her cheeks and took her hand and led her to their bedroom. She felt a little sick in stomach.

"I am ready... but only for the movie, nothing more," she said and hesitated a little before sitting down next to him on the bed. He exhaled and looked into her eyes, caressing her cheek with one hand, the other hand was on her hand on the bed.

"El, this is just a movie. I don't want you to rush into something you're not prepared. As I said, you are free now, but I am not. But the very first time I will be free, I am all yours and we can start our lives together, whatever scandal it takes, I am prepared for everything if it means that I can be with you, and only you. I don't want to spend the rest of my life thinking about the bullshit what ifs, I don't want to torture myself longing for you every single day of my life and not having you by my side." Patrick stood up and headed back to the kitchen.

Ellen stood up because she got scared she had crossed the line and she felt like she offended him somehow. She internaly panicked and didn't know what to do.

"Patrick..." she half whispered. She could feel tears forming in her eyes. She replayed his words and what she'd said before trying to find a reason he left her. But finally, he came back with a small box. She covered her face with her hands and wiped away the tears. She looked at him with a relieved smile.

"I was scared you left..." she said and stepped forward to him. He looked a little confused but then continued.

"How could I? I haven't finished, yet." he laughed and kissed her. It was just one simple kiss but it meant a lot. He parted their lips and he also kissed her forehead.

"Ellen, you are the only woman I am willing to lose everything I have just to be with you. I adore you for the person you are, how you always make me happy, I admire you for the strenght you have even though you feel down. I love your beautiful smile, your sparkling eyes, your lavender hair and, the most important, I love your neck because, God, I really love to kiss your neck." He smiled and handed her the little box.

"That's why I decided to buy you this." She opened the box and revealed the most gorgeous Versace necklace she's ever seen. She opened her mouth in surprise and shock, she was speechless. She looked at him.

"Patrick... I..." she didn't know what to say. She took the necklace out of the box and ran her fingers across it to admire its beauty.

"Turn it around," Patrick told her and she did. It said I love you, P.

She started to cry. This moment was too much for her. She collapsed into him and he held her tight. He grabbed the necklace and tried to put it around her neck. When he succeeded, she looked at his face, his lips, his eyes.

"Patrick, I really don't know what to say..." she kissed him and trailed her fingers across his back. He lifted her up and she put her legs around his waist. He will never stop being surprised how lightweight she is and that he only needs one hand to hold her up. Their bodies just fit perfectly together.

"Just say those two words." He smiled into her hair as she kissed his neck. She looked into his eyes.

"Okay... I wanted to say those three words, but... Thank you, Patrick. Thank you very much." She said and put her head back onto his shoulder. She put her lips closer to his ear and whispered: "This is the happiest I've ever been."
