The start of something new

safe with you

No one was home that night, both mama C and mama D were on a business trip so I was home all alone.
I wasn't really tired that night so I took my ukulele and played for a bit until I heard some noise downstairs.
At first it didn't startled me but the noise continued over and over

It started to freak me out since I was home alone, I didn't know what was happening, and I knew the sound came from inside the house.
Not wanting to disturb anyone in case it wasn't a big deal, I took my phone and slowly walked down the stairs

Every lights were off, so I tried to find the light switch, but then I saw the shadow of a person that came from the backyard, the only sound I could hear was the leaves being walked on one by one, then, the figure stopped in it's track and tried to open the door leading to the living room, as I heard the doorknob slowly turning, my body froze, tears were filling my eyes I was so scared I didn't know what to do

The only thing I could do in that kind of situation was run, so I just took the keys and left the house running to a safe place. The nearest place I could go was obviously Ricky's house since it was only across the street, so I ran, I ran without looking back until I arrived at Ricky's front door

I rang the doorbell multiple times hoping that Ricky wasn't asleep. And luckily the door opened as soon as the ringing stopped. Ricky looked at me concerned about why I was here at that time in the night but as soon as he saw that tears were streaming down my face, he just engulfed me in a hug not saying a word until I calmed down

"What's wrong?" he says hugging me tightly, I hold his back tight in response and hide my face in the curve of his neck, being like this really helped me feel safe, even if we met not long ago, I know that I can count on Ricky and that he'll always be here to listen to me

"S-someone in m-my house" I say, words would hardly go out of my mouth, I was in chock
"I-I don't know who it was, m-my moms are not home and no one else lives with us" I say calming down
"I was so scared, so I came to the nearest place I could find"

We stayed for a while like this not saying a word, Ricky just kept reassuring me while stroking gently my head

Ricky released a bit his grip on me and looked at me "Nini, I know I shouldn't make suppositions out of nowhere but is that Ej capable of doing things like that?"
"I don't know, maybe? Ej and I broke up a while ago because he was over possessive, if any guy approached me then he would always get in a fight" I say as Ricky lead me to the sofa in the living room

We sat, for some time talking about all this until both of us were really tired so we decided to stop the talking here

"do you want to stay the night here? I mean if you're still scared, my parents aren't home so you can use their room for the night" Ricky said

I nod silently, I couldn't go back home, what if something happens if I go there again?
Ricky lend me some clothes so I could change, of course they were way to big for me but it was really comfortable, he showed me the way to his parent's room and let me have some rest,
"if you need anything, my room is right up the stairs" he says with a smile closing the door

At this point, I was exhausted but I still couldn't sleep, I was imagining the worse scenario that could've happen if that person came here,after a while i stood up and walked to Ricky's room, I knock on the door and open it

"Hey, you're okay?" Ricky says standing up from him bed, "I..i'm sorry Ricky but i can't sleep" I say ashamed, "can i stay with you for the night?" I say as my cheeks turn bright red

His cheeks also turned a bit red but he said, "Nins if that would help you feel safe then of course" he says as he makes some place on the bed

"I'll sleep on the floor, take the bed" he says but I quickly grab his arm and say
"No Ricky, I'm the one disturbing you, let me sleep on the floor"
"Nini, I'm not letting you sleep on the floor, is that clear?" he says looking at me quite intensively
"okay.. then, stay with me in the bed, I'll move aside" I say sitting on the other side of the bed

We both lay down next to each other on the bed, until I say
"Ricky?"
"Mhh?" he says softly
"Thank you...for everything, I feel safe with you" I say falling asleep
What I didn't know was that right after I fell asleep, Ricky looked at me sleeping he smiled and kissed my forehead before he fell asleep by my side

Hey guys, thank you for reading my story..I'm so grateful to know that some of you actually like what I do, so that's it for this chapter and I didn't start to write the next one so I have absolutely no idea of what is going to happen..
