Late Saturday afternoon, David and Maria drove southwards to Küsnacht, and they enjoyed another sumptuous dinner with their grandparents. Then on Sunday morning in Zürich, the four of them boarded the train to Basel. As they settled into the compartment, David shook his head. "Exactly eleven months ago today."

Maria snuggled into his side. "I was just thinking about that. So much since then."

"I'm lost here," Michael said. "What was eleven months ago?"

"Boarding this train. Heading to Oxford."

"Is that only eleven months ago? Seems much longer. All you've accomplished."

David nodded. "Indeed, but I think the greatest is about to begin – moving the teams out of harm's way and into the minds and emotions of the German women."

"You've lost me again, David."

"We're changing our focus to subversion."
