They quickly left the house and bought a cab to take them to a train station. They could've just taken a cab all the way to their destination but a train would be quicker. They both sat in silence in the back seat while the driver hummed to the radio station quietly.
This mission was probably going to be quite dangerous. With both the Port mafia and an unknown organization involved the stakes were rather high. They needed those files though. To be honest the reason why Dazai felt so inclined to steal the files was because he thought Chuuya deserved to know his past. The port mafia had deprived him of this knowledge and Dazai wouldn't let that happen again. There was also the fact that Dazai very much wanted to show the Port Mafia that he was still as fearsome out of the Mafia as he was in it.
He still couldn't figure out what Mori was up too though. It was unlikely that his one and only motive in this was to lure Chuuya to the Mafia. Mori was a mastermind, he definitely had hidden intentions in this whole thing. Dazai had a really bad feeling. Something was going to go wrong...
But what exactly was going to happen. He had this feeling but he couldn't pinpoint it. It was like an intuition of darkness. If anything happened to Chuuya it would be Dazai's fault. He could order this cab to turn around right now... but, he can't do that. Chuuya needs to see those files, his entire life he's had no knowledge about who he is and this is a chance for him to finally learn some stuff even though they're probably really horrible- but in order for Chuuya to heal he has to first be broken first... right?
He had to decide, Chuuya's happiness or Chuuya's safety. Everything in life had risks so... No he was just being selfish. He didn't want to see Chuuya broken or empty so that's why he chose his happiness over his physical well being. When you get a cut or scratch,
it would heal and at most just leave a scar, but if you get mentally or emotionally hurt then that wound stays with you for the rest of your life. Chuuya needs closure, he needs to see those files, even if they're bad at least he'll understand part of who he is."Alright, we're here!" The cab driver chirped pulling over beside the train station. Chuuya pulled out some cash and paid the driver and then they both left the car and went to buy their tickets. They had to wait for about 10 minutes before their train came but once it arrived they got some seats and sat in more silence.
Dazai would usually have teased Chuuya to his max already but today he really just wasn't in the mood. Firstly he had already almost gotten his throat slit and secondly he still had that horrible feeling in his gut. Sighing he leaned his head against the cool glass. He had a really bad headache so he probably should stop overthinking things... It wasn't that simple though. There was so much on his mind that it was hard to just not think about anything.
"Hey are you ok?" Chuuya asked concerned.
Dazai looked up at him tiredly not removing his forehead from the glass, "Ya I'm alright."
"Your obviously not, you've been super quiet this whole time and so I can tell you're overthinking things."
"Chibi's awfully observant~" Dazai tried teasing but it still came out tired and strained.
"I've just been unfortunate to be around you enough to know when something's wrong."
Dazai sat up and sighed, Chuuya was better then most people at understanding things so maybe he could help?
"I have a bad feeling. I know it seems dumb but I have a feeling that Mori's up to something. I just can't figure out exactly what it is." Dazai explained. Chuuya frowned slightly.
"Well whatever he's planning we can stop it right? As long as we stay a few steps ahead of him we can evade whatever he's trying to accomplish."
Dazai stayed silent.
