Deciding that'd it be safer to just sneak through the woods to the medical facility Dazai explained everything he had learned about the whole situation to Chuuya. Chuuya didn't respond to him at all and merely stared off into the distance, what was up with him? Ever since they left the hotel he'd been acting super tense- something was on his mind and Dazai had a feeling it had to do with the mission itself. If it was really important Chuuya would tell Dazai though, he had stated multiple times that he trusted the brunette so Dazai should put a little faith in him right?
Dazai sighed quietly glancing at Chuuya. He seemed to be lost in thought and so Dazai decided to just leave him to think.
He turned his attention towards everything he had learned so far seeing as Chuuya was not going to help him piece anything together-
He had happened to realize at that moment that not only was the stolen files and organization set up, the location was too. They were going to a medical facility, how could Dazai not have seen how this fit in with Mori? Mori was a doctor so obviously he still had ties to the medical world, it's most likely he was able to buy this old building off on of one of his old coworkers and then changed it into a base for the Kokushibyō.
They walked in silence the rest of the way there, both too lost in thought to talk to eachother. It was best if they didn't make too much noise anyways plus this silence was helping Dazai think a lot faster. Even though Dazai had figured out what Mori was up to he couldn't shake that slight tinge of unease. Was it possible that Mori could be planning something else? It didn't really make any sense though, what else could Mori want to achieve?
He sighed, it was no use thinking of any possible things that Mori could be after because after all maybe Dazai had just become paranoid from overthinking.
Overthinking was the only thing that he really could do though- when one is always bored and alone the only thing they have to entertain themselves is their own thoughts. Well 'entertain' probably isn't the best word to describe it but for most of Dazai's life he's just been left to explore his twisted mind.
They continued creeping through the branches of trees careful not to make too much noise as they walked. Slowly the building came into view. Dazai gently grabbed Chuuya's arm and directed the both of them over to crouch behind a bush. Chuuya flinched from the touch which was pretty strange- He had never acted this tense around the brunette before... Dazai shook his head getting rid of those thoughts. Whatever was going through Chuuya's head at the moment could wait for later to be discussed, right now Dazai needed to focus. He listened to his surroundings, everything was dead silent.
Of course that was to be expected considering this entire thing was set up, the Port Mafia and Kokushibyō were allies in this, only pretending to fight each other to the public eye to keep suspicion away. The building itself looked quite fun down but nonetheless it still looked like a quite strong base.
Dazai scanned his eyes around the surrounding area. There were around 20-30 people on the perimeter of the building not to mention that more were probably hiding within the trees and inside the building. Getting these files was not going to be easy.
Dazai squinted to make out any familiar faces. It seemed that the Port Mafia didn't give the Kokushibyō any valuable assets but instead gave them lower level grunts who were trying to claw their way up in the ranks. He recognized a few of the lower members remembering how bad they were at following Dazai's orders before leaving the Mafia. At least they wouldn't have to fight against Hirotsu or anyone like that-
Even with the members being lower in the ranks that didn't mean that they don't know how to fight, Mori sure wasn't making this easy. All they had to do was get inside the building, steal the files and then run as fast as they could back to the hotel. That was easier said than done-
