~Patton's POV~

I sat on my bed with a sigh, only to look up suddenly at the sound of a familiar voice.

"Tisk, tisk, tisk." I hear Deceit say in front of me.
"Why are you in my room, again?" I ask, sitting up and looking at him. "Oh, come on, Patton. I heard your little outburst back there, both of them, for that matter." Deceit says.

"It wasn't an outburst!" I say defensively, to which Deceit just chuckles darkly. "You, my dear Patton," He says, grabbing my chin in his hand. I try pulling away, but he won't let me.
"Are playing a very risky game. Anger is a symptom of depression, friend-o; it's a sign of repressed emotions. Now, tell me," He says, letting go of me and leaning against the wall, suddenly holding his snake in his hand.

"Do you really want your mind to be as dark as me? As us? Patton, lying is everything you're against, so why lie to your friends? To Logan~?" He says, smirking darkly at me.
"I don't need your input. I'll be better soon..." I say, though, I think I'm only trying to convince myself at this point.

"Hm. Well, I'm off. Ta-ta~!" Deceit says before snapping out of my room, leaving me to think about what he said.

~Logan's POV~

I went downstairs to the living room, where I find Roman sitting on the couch watching the television.

"Sup nerd. What happened to Patton?" He asks. "I do believe, though I did not want to, that Patton is, well, depressed." I tell him, to which he laughs a little. "Depressed? Hah! Good one, Logan."
I look at him, trying to silently tell him that I was not joking. He looks at me and frowns a little. "You- you can't be serious?"

"I am always serious, Roman." I tell him. "But depression is sadness and numbness or whatever! Patton was angry at us back there, he can't be depressed! Besides, he's supposed to be the happy one, isn't he?" Roman replies.
I sigh. "No, Roman. Actually, anger can be a symptom of depression. Also, he is not 'the happy one', as you put it; he is Thomas's heart. The heart feels every emotion. However, I do not think Thomas is depressed... So, I think Patton is the only one with the problem."

"Problem?! Patton is not a problem!" Roman says, standing up. I tighten my tie slightly and look at him. "I did not say that, Roman, I said he is the one with a problem. Namely, that problem is depression."
"He's not depressed!!" Roman says.

"Who, uh... Who are you talking about, kiddos..?" Patton says behind us, causing Roman and myself to look at him. "We were talking about-" Roman's hand slaps over my mouth and he interrupts me.
"No one!! Just someone off of a TV show, Patton. Nothing to worry about here!" He says, making me roll my eyes. Why does he insist upon not believing that Patton is depressed? If he would just observe him-

Even right now. Patton lacks the usual "spark" in his eyes, he's not smiling, and his hands are up by his chest in an almost self-protective manner.

"Oh.. O-okay well, don't start a fight over it, okay? I love you... g-guys! I'm going to start dinner." Patton says. Strange, I could have sworn he looked at me as he said 'I love you'.

~Roman's POV~

I don't want to believe Logan, but I do have to agree that Patton isn't acting like himself. But he can't be depressed! He's probably just... I don't know, lonely?

But I noticed something; Patton added 'guys' onto the end of 'I love you' in an almost frantic manner, and looked at Logan when saying it. Being the romantic side, I'm fully aware of the signs of a crush.

Oh gods, does Patton have a crush on Logan?! The idea of that made me smile a little, that's adorable!

I go to my room, only finding Remus snooping around again.

"Hey, get outta my room!" I shout at him. He just turns around, with that... Grin of his.
"Oh, hello, brother! Did you see it?" He asks, making me confused. "See what?"

"Patton's crush on Logan." He responds. I snort a little. "Yeah, I noticed. He kinda slipped up saying 'I love you'."
"And he's totally the submissive one." Remus says. Oh christ, I forgot he was the sexual one too. I sigh, but honestly, where's the lie in that statement?

"Can you just get out of my room, please?" I ask. "Mm, not without warning you." He says. "Warning me? Me? I'm not afraid of anything." I say, smiling pridefully.
"Not about you, dipwad, about Patton. He's going to end up in a really bad place if he doesn't talk to anyone. I've told him to talk to Logan, or at least one of you, but he just won't listen. Try to crack him for me, for all of us, otherwise say bye-bye to happy pappy Patton. Byeeee~!" He says, leaving the room.

What? No, Patton... He can't be depressed. Even if he was, why should I have to take care of it?! He has Logan and Thomas and Virgil, I don't need to drop in.
Though, I do care about him... But why would he be depressed? I can't think of any...

Wait.

"The breakup!" I mutter quietly in realization. Patton's the heart; of course he'd be holding on to a broken relationship! Ugh, and he's trying to keep it secret to act like he's moving on!
"Of course; I'm such a fool!" It's decided, I'll tell Logan, and he can talk to Patton about it. Then maybe things can get better before they get any worse.
