~Third Person POV~
Roman practically ran downstairs, where Logan was still sitting on his computer doing more research.
"Logan, I know what's wrong with Patton!!" He whispers quickly, as Patton was just in the kitchen next to them.Logan looks at him for a moment. "What is it?" he asks. "The breakup!" Roman says back. "Pardon?" Logan says, closing his laptop.
"He's depressed because of the breakup!" Roman repeats. "No. no, no. He can't be. That was almost a month ago.""Are you sure about that?" Roman says, but it was more of a statement than a question. "I- what?" Logan says, frowning a little in confusion.
"Think about it. Patton is Thomas's heart; he'd be the most likely, alongside me, to hang on and yearn for a lost relationship!" Roman explains.Logan seems to consider this, silently thinking to himself for a moment. "Even so, what would you have me say? Also are you okay?" Logan asks, to which Roman nods. "I'm fine. Sure, I'd like the relationship back, but I can live. Also, as for what to say... Hmm, I don't know. Maybe just casually bring it into the conversation?"
"How would I do that?" Logan asks. "You... Um, you can figure that out." Roman says, honestly not knowing the answer to that himself."Kiddos, dinner is ready!" Patton calls out, to which everyone goes to eat.
~Patton's POV~
I try to keep a smile as I hand plates out to everyone. Logan sets his down and walks up to me, pulling me aside. He's touching me. Oh stars, I shouldn't be blushing from that!
"Patton, if it's not too much to ask, would you join me for a conversation proceeding dinner?" He asks. I nod a little and look at him. "Sure, Logi- Logan. Where at?" I ask, and he studies me for a short moment. (Hey, Bella here. Just a quick note, he was about to say "Logie", not "Logic", just in case anyone was confused.)
"Anywhere you'd like, I just need to talk to you, please." Logan says, to which I nod again, and we head back to the kitchen to eat. After dinner, I walk to the living room, as everyone else goes to their rooms. I sit down on the couch, and soon enough, Logan sits next to me. Not close, but not far.
"So... What did you want to talk about?" I ask, looking up at him a little. Logan adjusts his glasses, making me subconsciously do the same - and I swear, he almost smiled a little at that.
"How are you, Patton? Truthfully." Logan asks, making me hesitate."Wh-why... Do you want to know that, Logan?" I ask him, and he gave me a different kind of look. More... Gentle than he usually is. That flustered me a little.
"Because I care about you, Patton." He says calmly. "U-uh... W-well you know, just um... Living life!" I try to joke, forcing a smile and a small laugh."So you're not upset about the breakup, by chance?" He says, catching me off guard.
~Logan's POV~
Patton froze. I don't mean that figuratively; his body, his movements, everything stilled. His smile also faded rather quickly after I asked that.
"Th-the breakup? H-hah.. Wh-what breakup? I don't know what you're talking about!" He says, his facial expression turning to one of nervousness.
"Patton, stop lying. You know exactly what I'm talking about. But if I must remind you, I'm talking about the breakup that happened one month and three days ago." I tell him, to which he muttered, to the best of my hearing, "So specific are we?"A moment of silence passed between us, myself waiting for an answer, and Patton looking down at his lap before, finally, he spoke.
"I... Just thought... Maybe, if I let it be, things would just sort themselves out... A-and I would eventually just get over it and feel better... Gotta say, it's taking a little longer than I had expected, but-"
"Patton, you can't do that! That is probably one of the most unhealthy ways to deal with grief. You cannot just ignore it and hope that it goes away; you have to talk about it, that's how it goes." I tell him, frowning a little.Patton pursed his lips for a moment and looked away. "It'll be fine, Logan," He says, standing up. "Patton please wait.." I say, looking up at him. "No, I.. Have to go do laundry. See ya later, Lo..." He says, walking to the laundry room.
I sigh. Why won't Patton talk about it with me? Though, at least I got him to open up a little... But it's somehow worse now. I want him to feel better, to be happy! Why won't he just... Let me help?~Patton's POV~
As I was doing laundry, I was aware of Remus behind me. "I told Logan, can you two lay off now..." I mumble. Behind me, Remus laughs. "Hunny, admitting it is only the first stage to actually helping yourself."
I sigh and put the clothes in the washer. Remus though, doesn't let me ignore him."So have you considered self harm yet?" he says, making me drop the laundry soap. "What?!" I ask, looking at him with what Roman would call an "irritated dad look".
Remus smirks. "What? I'm just saying, that's what most depressed people do. Why not join in on the fun? Might help you feel better~"No. No way am I actually considering doing something Remus said. That's his job, Patton! He likes getting into your head!.. But it's working..
No. No, no no! Why would I even think of doing something so self-destructive?!Remus chuckles. "Well, tata." he says before disappearing.
"Please don't tell me you're considering that..?" Virgil says, who I hadn't noticed was standing there.
~Virgil's POV~
I overheard the conversation, and I got angry with Remus. I didn't think Patton would listen, but he made a face somewhere between hurt and considering. That scared me.
Patton looks at me, doesn't say anything. He frowns for a moment and shook his head before giving a blank expression as he picks the soap up off the floor.
I frown at that. "Patton-""Virgil, not.. now." I was taken aback. Not even ‘kiddo’. I look down for a moment. "Fine, just please don't listen to him.." I say before walking to my room.
I'm going to kill Remus if Patton ends up hurting himself.
