I envy the wind
that caresses your face,
And gets to play with your hair.
I marvel at the luck
of that mirror
in your room.
The one that gets to
see your very first glimpse
On a new day,
before anyone else
has laid eyes on you.
I so want to be
The stroll
Wrapped around your neck,
Hiding your arms and shoulder
In its embrace.
If only I could be
the air You breathe,
The floor you tread on,
The sunshine
that you bathe in,
A thought that
Remains in your mind,
Or a word that's
Worthy of reaching your lips,
I'd trade my entire existence,
My past present and future.
