know anything beforehand.

but told him of two guys
who came into their hotel.

"The first guy is Ewell,
he seems kind of cruel.
He and Ronan got into a fight

The other is Simon,
a wagon he's drivin',
and he tried to give the twins a fright.
He buys lots of bread..."
"A dozen loaves!" Lotta said,
"And Aunt Sue told me lots of muffins."
Buck thanked them for their intel,
hoping he could use it well.
He rode off to meet the men.
When he arrived at the land,
he found hired hands
employed from Tent City.

They were doing woodwork
and looked like good work,
but Ewell's orders weren't pretty.

Simon was unloading a wagon,
supplies – lots of 'em,
but nowhere was Land to be found.
Buck watched the men,
and rode off again
saying he might be back around.
He rode back to 3Gun
and listed his reasons
for believing something fishy was up.

Buck grinned at him.
"Sure thing, 3Gun.
Now I've got to run
and deliver a Secret Santa gift."
