I ran to William, tears flowing down my cheeks, not knowing what else to do. He greeted me with a surprised look, yet a gentle touch.
"What happened to you?" He whispered in my ear, gently hugging me in comfort.
I broke our hug and looked straight into his eyes. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. I wiped my tears away, and cleared my throat. "Sllll..aaaayyyy...eeeerrrr..." I muttered out, my voice cracking multiple times.
He grasped my shoulders firmly, before asking again what he most feared I had just said. "Did you see the Slayer?" Wrinkles creased his forehead in seriousness, waiting for my prolonged answer.
I nodded shakily, as another wave of tears hit my eyes. My brain throbbed, and I just wanted to sleep. The moon had finally appeared, and it was the only thing I could see clearly through my blurring vision. My mind wandered back to when my best friend, and first snake died due to The Slayer.

The sun broke through the trees, while we are training in the clearing next to the trees. Jasmine, running next to me, her small spear in her hand. She releases it as she reaches the minimum distance. As always, hits the middle perfectly. I ran up to the tree, and pull it out for her.She giggles as I fall backwards as the spear comes out of the tree. I join her in the giggle war, as I sit up. My hair dangles over my eyes, and I gently push them out of the way. I notice a movement in the distance in the trees, but when I blink, I tell myself it is just a figure of my imagination. Jasmine stands up, only to fall down again when a dagger pierces into her spine.
"I can't feel my legs! Sabrina, I can't feel my legs!" Jasmine screams at me, but also in agony as she located the dagger with her right hand. She pulls it out quickly, tears steaming down her face.
I look up and see an actual person, walking towards us. I make a snake noise through my teeth, and my partner Selamine(Sea-lah-mine) slithered to my side. I pointed to the unknown person, and Selamine slithered quickly, and randomly towards the person. As she got close enough, she stuck out quickly.
A wolf leapt through the air, and caught my partner mid-air. I gasped as I heard multiple bones crack.
Tears brimmed my eyes.
"Run Sabrina, run!"

My mind screamed in regret as I remembered my friends last word to me. She wanted me to save myself, and now I am here fighting for her, I am her...I think back to that woman's face, and finally it dawns on me... The Slayer killed them, that thing killed my life. It was time to revenge for them, to kill her.
I dared to open my eyes, and saw Will sleeping near me, but not to close. I looked to the moon, and saw that it had traveled just short of its peak. Jhaaronku was curled up next to the hot rocks around the old fire pit. I laid back down, and closed my eyes again.
I tried to talk to Jasmine, so I whispered to myself, "Jasmine I'm..... I'm sorry, and I will kill the slayer. I......" Before I could finish my sentence, darkness filled my mind as I drifted to a heavy sleep
