"This is exactly what DeVoe wanted. I mean, we all fell into his plan, especially me", Barry said as we all stood in the cortex. Barry's trial was starting soon but we all needed to get together to talk about what happened. "Why would DeVoe want to orchestrate all of this?", Iris asked confused. Barry shook his head, "I don't know, but we know that this started when I was still in the Speed Force", he said. "But why target Dominic?", Dad asked confused.
Before the Christmas party, DeVoe kidnapped Dominic and somehow sent his consciousness into Dominic. The Dominic that was at my dads house, was really DeVoe. Harry looked at him, "Dominic's power must have allowed DeVoe to inhabit his body. We should've been on top of this earlier", he said, shaking his head. Caitlyn sighed, "What about the other metas on the bus? Why create them?", she asked. Harry looked at Barry, "Part of a larger plan?", he suggested and Barry nodded.
Ralph looked at Barry, "How are you even here right now, Allen? Aren't you on house arrest?', he asked as he looked at Barry's ankle monitor. Cisco shrugged, "He's at Joe's actually. Either that or the courthouse. I managed to hack into the ankle monitor GPS", he said. Just then, I remembered something, "That's not the only thing Cisco hacked. When you came out of the Speed Force, you were talking gibberish at CCPD. You said something about not killing anyone", I said.
Cisco nodded and started searching in the archives, "I scrubbed the video. Last thing we want is somebody hearing something we don't want them to hear", he said as he pulled up the video from a few months ago.
"Your honor, I'm innocent. I didn't do this. I didn't kill anyone", we heard Barry say in the video. Barry shook his head, "Yeah, I don't remember any of that", he said. Harry looked at him confused, "You don't?", he asked and Barry shook his head, "We should look at everything from when he first came out of the Speed Force. Might give us a clue", he suggested looking at Dad. Dad nodded ,"That's a good idea", he agreed.
Barry looked at them, "Okay, guys, but remember, I mean considering all the evidence they have against me, this trial is not even going to last very long", he said. Caitlyn looked at him, "Okay, but with Cecile taking a leave of absence to represent you, you got the best lawyer in town", she said smiling. Cisco shrugged, "I mean, even if they did find you guilty, it's not like any prison can hold you", he said laughing a little. Barry shook his head, "Well, I'm not gonna run. I won't be a fugitive. If I'm convicted I have to go to prison", he told everyone.
Dad shook his head, "We won't let that happen", he said. Harry nodded, "Right, let's get to work", he said and everyone left, leaving just Barry and I. He walked closer to me, "We should get to the courthouse", he said. I nodded and stood up as he walked around the desk to stand next to me, "How are you? You've been very quiet", he said. I shook my head, "They say the first year of marriage is the hardest, but they mentioned nothing about my husband being on trial for murder being one of the challenges", I said as I wrapped my arms around his neck, his winding around my waist.
