I woke up early in the morning to make breakfast while Barry and Nora were asleep. I was trying to be as quiet as I could because Nora was sleeping on the couch and I didn't want to wake her up. I was just finishing up the pancakes when I heard Nora stirring on the couch. I plated the food just as she sat up and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, "Morning, honey. Just in time, breakfast is just about ready", I told her. We walked over to the kitchen to pour herself some coffee and her eyes widened at the spread that I made; pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs and toast, "I didn't know you could cook", she said.

I smiled and shrugged, "I just picked up a few things from Papa Joe", I said and she just quietly nodded, nursing her coffee. Just then, Barry walked down the stairs, yawning, "Good morning. What's happening?", he asked. I smiled and brought the plates of food to the table, "Oh, I just thought maybe we could have breakfast together. Like a family", I said smiling at both of them. Barry smiled and nodded, "I love it. Do you need any help?", he asked. I shook my head, "Oh, no. I got it. You guys just sit and enjoy", I said as the three of us sat down.

Barry took a bite and smiled, "These are amazing, babe", he said, and I could tell that he wasn't lying which made me smile. I looked over at Nora, "Wait, um, when did you get a phone?", I asked her, seeing the device in her hand. She smiled at Barry, "Oh, Dad got it for me a couple days ago", she said. He smiled and nodded at her, "Mhm", he muttered as he ate then turned to see the annoyed look on my face, "Nora suggested it. I mean, I thought it was a great idea. We're always in and out of STAR labs, so I just-- you know, it's be easier to text or call", he defended himself nervously.

I was annoyed because I wish he would have told me about it first but I put on a fake smile and started eating my food, "Yeah, it's great", I muttered. Barry cleared his throat and changed the subject, "You guys excited to cheer me on at the charity softball game?", he asked. Nora smiled, "Softball, schway", she said excited. "Just hope I don't get stuck in right field this year", he muttered, even though he always does. I love my husband but sport have never been his strong suit. Nora's phone vibrated with a text from someone, "You gave your number out already?", I asked her.

She shrugged, "Yeah, just to the team and Sherloque", she laughed as she read the text, "Actually, this text message, I think is from him", she said and showed Barry the phone. He laughed a little, "I don't think he's much of a texter", he said reading it. I tried to read it but Nora pulled the phone back before I could see what it said, "He wants us to come to STAR labs. I'm gonna go get ready", she said as she stood up from the table. I looked over and saw her plate was untouched, "You didn't have anything to eat", I said. She shook her head, "I'm not really much of a breakfast person", she said and walked away to get ready.

I sighed and looked at Barry, "I thought having her here would help us connect but she just keeps pulling away from me", I said, starting to lose hope. He shook his head, "Don't give up, she'll come around", he told me, but I really couldn't believe that.
