The Deadly Siren (Completed)

We all stared in shock at the girl that just walked into the house. "You're saying that you're our daughter?", Barry asked. "From the future?", I added, not being able to form words very well. "Named Nora?", Barry finished. She nodded, "Nora Elizabeth...after both of your moms", she said with a smile. No one knew what to say clearly as the room was dead silent, "Anybody need a refill? No? Just me?", Cisco asked as he stood up to pour himself more champagne. 

Nora laughed, "Cisco Ramon, always cutting the tension with a joke", she said. Caitlyn furrowed her eyebrows, "You know our names?", she asked her. Nora nodded, "Of course. I know all of you. You're Caitlyn Snow. Ralph Dibny. Papa Joe, Mama Cecile. Little Auntie Jenna, she's so cute", she gushed at the newborn baby, "Annabelle Monroe. Uncle Wally, and Auntie Iris", she went around listing everyone's names.

Wally looked at her, "And your nickname is XS?", he asked. Cisco grabbed the whole bottle of champagne, "Clearly not my doing", he muttered before drinking from the bottle. Nora shook her head, "No it was a name you gave me when I was little", she said looking at Iris, "You said I did everything in excess. Guess I've always been like that. Overdoing things, getting in way over my head. Like, uh, recently", she rambled. 

I looked at her, "This mistake that you made?", I asked her. She didn't even look at me, it's like she was afraid to, "Big mistake", she confirmed. Iris looked at her, "Which was...?", she asked prompting her to continue. Nora looked at Barry nervously, "Helping Mom save the city by destroying the STAR labs satellite last night", she said. My heart leaped when she called me Mom, "You're a siren and a speedster?", I whispered, hoping that our powers were the only things she got from us. She looked at everyone, "I just couldn't stop myself from getting involved. But something happened when I did, because now I can't seem to go fast enough to open up the Speed Force", she explained.

"Pardon me", Ralph said getting all of our attentions, "Are talking about actual time travel here?", he asked, confusing all of us. Cisco looked at him, "Do you just like, not pay any attention when we have our briefings?", he asked. I sighed, "Ralph, I was literally on a team of time travelling superheroes for two years", I reminded him. He looked around, "Look, nobody said bubkes about time travel", he defended. 

Jenna started to get fussy so Cecile started rocking her as Caitlyn tried to quiet him down, "Come on, Ralph, you're scaring the baby", she said. Cisco nodded, "Yeah, you're scaring the baby", he agreed as Jenna started crying. Cecile bounced her new daughter, "No, no, she's not scared. She just said she's hungry", she assured them before realizing what she just said, "She said that she's-- Joe! I heard her! I read her mind! I might not be losing my powers! I might not be losing my powers", she cooed to the baby as she went upstairs to feed her. Dad didn't seem as enthused as she was, "Awesome", he muttered. 

Nora looked at Barry and I, my guess she was feeling our hesitation, "I'm sorry. I know how bizarre this must seem. Meeting your daughter from the future as an adult. But really, this wasn't my plan at all, but I'm kinda stuck here now and you're the only people who can help me. So...", she looked at everyone with a nervous smile, "Anybody know what to do?", she asked. Barry and I looked at each other, not sure what to say.

We brought Nora back to STAR labs so that we could run some tests on her. Right now she was on the track in the Speed Lab, moving so fast. "This is so, so weird", Barry said as we watched her run. I watched her amazed, "I can't that's our daughter up there", I said. He looked at me, "We have been lied to before", he tried to argue. I gave him a look, "Bare. Yellow lightning like yours, purple like mine, she has my scream and your speed. This is our daughter", I said. He nodded, "Yeah, well, look. If it is true, Nora could say the wrong thing or step on the wrong butterfly and screw up the whole timeline. She could Marty McFly herself out of existence", he reasoned.
