A thought came alive
But away I hid it
It stole a glance
From under the eyelids to see
But away I hid it away
Always from me
It used to ask "why?"
Always from me
It used to say, "Set me free please!"
But away I hid it awayA word was formed
But away I burned it
It stole a glance
From between the lips to flee
But away I burned it away
Always from me, it used to ask "why?"
Always from me
It used to plead, "Embrace me, dear!"
But away I burned it awayA problem came alive
But away I swat it
It stole an appearance
From between the situations
But away I swat it away
Always from me
It used to ask, "why?"
Always to me
It used to say, "Solve me, little one!"
But away I swat it awayThis thought
This word
This problem
Are nothing but a feeling now
Hidden away in the corner of my heart
Still begging me to let them fly
Still wanting me to open up
But away I hid them away...
