[Untitled little word vomit that goes with my headcannons on my tumblr]

Robotnik was sitting on his bed, slightly curled with a pillow in between his arms. To say the least, this was not his ideal situation. This happened a few times a month. His emotions have been bottled up for so long, he needs a different way of expressing it than with his robots or experiments, which turn out to just be distractions from his past. He sighed slightly, hoping that it would go away quickly.

But that was not going to happen.

It wasn't going to happen because this was the worse one he had in a long while. He hugged his pillow tighter as he sat there, dealing with feelings he had been putting off for too long. Ivo had surpressed these emotions for too long, and now they are leaking.

There was a knock at his door.

"Doctor? I'm here with fresh lattes!"

Shit.

Robotnik knew what would happen if he didn't answer. Stone would get worried and try to get in and find him like this. But how could he answer when his voice was lost in his head?

"Sir?" Stone had knocked a couple more times. The panic in his voice had only confirmed what the doctor had theorized.  Ivo put his head into the pillow, just waiting for the inevitable moment when his assistant seems him as a broken mess.

As the door opened, there was a slight gasp, then before Robotnik knew it, he was in Stone's arms.

It felt so nice. The warmth from another human person made him feel something he had never really had. A personal connection with something that was not a robot. Ivo had practially melted into Stone's arms. The agent was so worried as he was asking him all kinds of questions.

"Are you okay? What's wrong? Why aren't you speaking? Did something go wrong?"

The doctoe went to grab his notebook and pencil and quickly wrote down his situation to put Stone's mind at ease.

Stone sighed, holding Robotnik close.

"Do you still want your latte, sir?"

Robotnik nodded, taking his cup and sipping at it. The two continued to sit there.

Once the icky feeling of overwhelming emotions left him, Robotnik was back to his doctor self. He pretended like nothing had happened, which in turn made Stone act the same.
