I am NOT responsible for anything y'all do. Trust me, there will be more fluff in this chapter. It's hurt/comfort fluff/angst thing. Have fun. It was fun to write because I like to write people spiraling.

It's been a couple weeks. The doctor was acting cold towards Stone, and even the agent himself was showing some resentment towards Robotnik. The two's working relationship was getting worse and worse. Some co-workers have even asked if things were okay. But both had brushed them off, telling everyone who asked that they were just stressed. It didn't matter. Nothing mattered.

Robotnik had been working in the lab late one night. His mind began to drift back to what Stone had said.

"That's endearing, but Doctor, I don't like you like that."

It felt like his stomach was turning every which way. It felt like moths nipping at his insides. He had to shut it off. He had to ignore it, but soon he felt himself shaking uncontrollably. He knew he wouldnt be able to be alone, even if that means he had to get Stone. His loyal lapdog of an agent was the only person who could handle the doctor in his hysterics.

Ivo reaxhed for his phone, dialling the agent's number.

"This is agent Stone speak--"

"Shut the h-hell up and come help me." Robotnik's voice was extremely shaky. He tried to clear his mind, but all his insecurities came at once. Holy hell did it hurt. He was trying to hold on until Stone got there, but his vision was slowly getting more and more blurry.

He rushed to get some water. Maybe he was just dehydrated. He was going to be fine. He opened the water bottle and drank the entire thing.

Before he knew it, he was laying on the floor completely helpless. He hated it. And the more he focused on that hate, the more he thought about Stone's rejection. The more he thoight about the rejection, the more he thought about his insecurities. The more he thouvht about his insecurities, the worse the anger got until he was completely a mess on the floor.

Stone walked into the lab. He went to the doctor, outting a reazsuring hand on his shoulder. "Doctor? Can you hear me?"

Ivo nodded and hugged him without a second thought. Stone hugged back.

"D'ya want to go to the feeling room?"

Ivo nodded again, going mute. He held onto Stone, who attempted to pick him up. He almost failed, but he found the right way to get a good grip. They both went into the room.

When they were both settled, sitting side by side, Stone had put an arm around Ivo.

"Sir, about what I s--"

Stone cut himself off when Robotnik clung to him, eyes shut and tight. Now must not have been the right time. He stroked Robotnik's hair, humming lightly.

Ivo had started to calm down a little more. His tense body relaxed the more his hair was played with. It felt nice to have Stone back. It felt nice that he actually came for once and not back down or left him. He felt safe again.

When Robotnik had calmed down enough, Stone decided to take his chance, but something within him begged him not to. Instead of telling Ivo how he felt, he decided to ask him what had made him panic.

Uh oh

Robotnik looked at him, shaking his head, then got impossibly closer to Stone. He closed his eyes again, just sinking back into the warmth.

Stone moved away. "Sir, you have to tell me what is going on."

Ivo grabbed the jounral, writing down, "I'm your boss. Do not tell me what to do."

After reading the two sentences, Stone glanced at him. He was slowly getting frustrated as a million thoughts about how the next second would go depending on how he handled it.

"Doctor, I want you to get better. The only way you can do that is to explain to me why you keep getting yourself in this room."

Robotnik was bitter. He took the journal and angrily wrote down what his panic attack was about. In the middle of writing it, he began to feel it again. The suffocation, the pain in his chest, the loud noises replaying in his head.

Stone took notice. "Do you need me to--"

It didn't matter what came next, Robotnik had already attached himself to Stone. He wqs shaking so bad. The screaming, the fighting, it was all too much.

Stone played with his hair. "You're going to be okay. I'm here, Agent Stone is here. You're safe. You are in a safe place."

The more reassurance Ivo got, the better he got. Slightly. Everything was still too loud to really hear Stone, but the more he focused, the less memory he could remember. His bresthing was stil quick and shaky.

Stone kissed his head, rubbing his back. "Can you breathe to a count, honey?"

Robotnik didn't answer.

Stone nodded, "you're breathing is too rapid, Doctor. You need to breath on my count, okay? Breath in for 4, hold for 8, then release for 6, okay?"

Robotnik nodded. Stone began to count the 4, and as he did so, Ivo inhaled as slow as he could, but it was hard. Then, he tried holding it for 8 seconds, which was still difficult. He was relieved when he got to exhale.

Stone kept counting, watching as his boss followed his directions. He began to follow his own advice to help Robotnik get a better feel for it. Ivo was getting better with each breath, but then began to think back to the orphanage. The way they punished kids who got out of line. Kids who got anythung lower than a 95% in a class. Kids who were less than perfect.

Robotnik started to whimper softly. The assistant kissed his cheek. "Honey, focus on me, okay?"

The doctor looked up at him, shaking his head violently.

Stone was losing him. And fast.
