"Please"Johanna begs the Peace Keeper.
"Trust me, this stuff is expensive and I want to give it to you but President Snow requests that I give it to her" He tells her and I sink back in the chair. He comes forward with the needle but an alarm goes off. I try to cover my ears but my arms are tied behind the chair. It got louder and I look over at Johanna, who had a smirk on her face.
"Unit 5 through 9 report to the tribute center for training" the intercom says. The Peace Keeper untied us and pushes us in the cell. I hear people running around but the Peace Keeper puts the needle in Johanna's arm anyways. She bites her lip and glares at him. Once he leaves, Johanna gives me a weak smirk.
"Their here" she says and jumps on the bed. I doubt that they were here and if they were they wouldn't find us. But images of Finnick flashed through my mind and I wanted hope and I sigh. She pulls out something on her side of the bed and I smile. It was a picture of a boy and a girl. They had the same brown hair and tall figure.
"This is my brother and me. This is the only picture I have left" she whispers and I put a hand on her shoulder. She looks up at me and gives me a small smile. This was all Johanna had left in this cruel world.
Then the power went out. I feel Johanna push me behind her and I peer over her shoulder. I hear people still run around outside and I start to believe Johanna. What if they really where here. My heart flutters and my hope regains.
"They are here" She says and puts he picture to her heart. She kisses it and then puts it in her pocket. I wrap my hand around the anchor necklace and bite my lip.
"Clear" I hear someone say and then our door opens.They throw a bomb in it and gas fills our small chamber. I bend over, coughing and Johanna mimics me. I fall down and I see 6 people dressed in black enter and they spot us. One picks me up and they other manage to get Johanna to walk.
I look up at my saviors face and he had brown eyes and a buzz cut hair. He looked straight ahead but he smiles. My heart warms and my mind is in peace.
"Were bringing her home Finnick".
