Chapter 8: Your sweet question

Y/N PoV
I woke up seeing the sun rays through the curtains. I yawned and forced myself to lean upwards. Regretted it immediately though.

Y/N: "Ahh..."
Emilia: "I told you not to strain yourself"
Y/N: "Emilia!?"
Emilia: "Good morning Y/N!" 
Y/N: "what are you doing here?"
Emilia: "I came to check on you."
Y/N: "Oh, well I should be ok now thank you. You should probably check on Subaru. As your knight I should be taking care of you and not the other way round."
Emilia: "hmm...unofficially."
Y/N: "huh?"
Emilia: "You haven't been knighted yet have you?"
Y/N: "Well n-no."
Emilia: "Then you're not officially yet. So I can take care of you as I please."

She looked at me with a smug expression.

Y/N: "Alright, I'll let you you have that one."
Puck: "You better!"
Y/N: "Hello Puck!"
Puck: "Hello there Y/N!"

I felt a furry punch on my nose and saw the cute little cat hovering in front of my face.

Y/N: "Damnit! I've been had by Puck the fearsome!"
Puck: "Surrender now Y/N L/N!"
Y/N: "I'm all yours mighty Puck the fearsome!"

Emilia started to giggle.

Emilia: "hehe. C'mon we should check on Subaru now."
Y/N and Puck: "Ok"

We all got up and went towards Subaru's room.

3rd person PoV
Y/N, Emilia and Puck all walked through the door to see Subaru awake and lively along with Rem and Ram. Once he noticed Emilia walk in, his face lit up with glee.

Subaru: "Mili!" (Pronounced "Mee-Lee" btw)

Emilia's face cringed. Meanwhile, Subaru received a glare from the girl beside her. Y/N was most definitely not pleased that Subaru had taken such a liking to her love-interest/crush. Subaru immediately retracted the words that he spoke.

Emilia: "I hope you feel a lot better Subaru."
Subaru: "I-I do thank you Mili."
Ram: "The strange man gave us a fright miss Emilia"
Rem: "Indeed, sister and I both were terrified when the man proceeded to shout and dance about in his bed once he woke up."
Subaru: "You make it sound like I got possessed or something!"
Emilia: "Well that's quite bizarre."
Y/N: "Subaru?"
Subaru: "oh uh...yeah?"
Y/N: "May I talk to you for a second?"
Subaru: "I-uh ok."

The other people in the room looked at the two puzzled. It was silent when Emilia decided to break it.

Emilia: "I'll be in my study if anyone needs me. Come along puck."
Puck: "Coming!"

As she walked past Y/N she whispered on her ear.

Emilia: "Don't do anything reckless."
Y/N: "Don't worry."

With that, her and the other three left. Leaving Subaru and Y/N alone.

Subaru: "What did you want to talk to me about?"
Y/N: "Where are you from?"
Subaru: "huh?!"
Y/N: "You're not from this world are you? I can tell by the tracksuit you're wearing."
Subaru: "Really? You know?"
Y/N: "Yes"
Subaru: "how?"
Y/N: "I'm not from here either."
Subaru: "Are you from Earth?"
Y/N: "Yeah, no where here."
Subaru: "That explains what happened when I touched your hand earlier!"
Y/N: "Mhm."
Subaru: "So does that mean you can return by dea-"
