                                                         Rem's POV
I send a quick text to Amara as I walk into the Underground. I haven't heard from her all day and I was starting to worry. Walking into the meeting room, I see Sebastian talking to some Council members, while Emerson was sitting in the corner, drawing.

"Sebastian what is it?" I ask him as I walk up next to him.

"There's been another attack. Four bodies were just found. Same MO, same calling card."

"I am getting real tired of these rogues. We need to do something and we need to do it now." I say getting annoyed.

"You're not the only one Rem, we all are.  But we can't stop them until we find out where they are." Sebastian says seriously. My phone buzzes in my hand and I glance down at it eagerly hoping it was Amara. Unfortunately it was just a silly notification from Instagram.

                "Everything okay Rem?"

"Yeah, was just hoping it was a text from Amara but it wasn't. I haven't heard from her all day."

"Oh. Maybe she is busy at work. I wouldn't worry just yet."

"You're right. I'm probably just overreacting. Thanks Seb." We talk a little bit more before I leave. I head back to my house to work on some music for our third album. After working in the music, I send it to the others for their input. I then leave and head to Amara's house to see if she was home.

When I get there, I knock on the door and I'm surprised to see Emily open the door and not Amara. "Hey Em. Is Amara home?" I ask.

"Hey Rem, uh no she's not. I assumed that she stayed over your house after her dinner."

                   "Dinner? What dinner?"

"She went to dinner with Drake last night to catch up since they went to school together." Emily told me.

"And she hasn't been home yet?"

"No, I thought she went to your place after. What about the Underground? Could she be there?"

"I was there earlier and I didn't see her there. Maybe she is at work."

"You drive. Let's go check." The two of us get into my car and we drive to the bookstore. But upon arriving to the store, we are dismayed to find out that Amara was not there. Where could she be?

                                                        Amara's POV
I awake from a dreamless sleep to find myself in an unfamiliar room. I was laying on large bed with black silk sheets that also had a canopy on the posts. I look down at myself and see that someone had dressed me in a tank top and some pj pants. I get out of the bed and put on the robe that was draped over an armchair and walk out of the room. I look around the hallway to try and figure out where I was, but I could not see anything revealing. Through various doors, I find a kitchen, bathroom, dining room, and a living room, which I enter.

I was looking at the books that were lining the bookshelves around the room when I hear a voice behind me say, I see you are awake." I whirl around and see Drake standing in the doorway.

"Where am I? What am I doing here?"

"Which one do you want me to answer first?" He says with a sly grin.

"Stop stalling Drake and just tell me what I want to know." I say, getting frustrated.

"Fine, fine. You're in my home and you are here because I want you to be here. Happy now?"

"No, not really. Why the hell did you kidnap me? If you wanted me to come over your house, you could've just asked me!" I nearly shout.

I see a slight glint of regret in his eyes as he asks me, "Would you have come over if I had asked you to come over?"

"I might have but I don't know now, seeing as how you kidnapped me!" I see something darken in his eyes as I say that.

"Well you are here now that's all that matters." He says somewhat quietly.

"Drake please let me go. You don't want to do this. Kidnapping is a very serious crime! You'll go to jail for a long time if you don't release me." I plead to him.

"No! You will stay here forever! And besides, human laws don't apply to me or anyone else in this house, besides you that is." He says with a dark chuckle and turns his head away from me.

His words confuse me. "What do you mean by that? I don't understand." Whatever it is that he means, it leaves an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. Drake turns back towards me and his eyes have changed to a glittering ruby red and his canines have elongated to sharp points.

                                Drake Moore was a vampire.

"You were the vampire who attacked the ball at the Underground."

"You are correct my dear." He replies.

                                  "But why?"

"So I could get you. And so I could also get rid of those stupid boys you are so fond of." He rolls his eyes.

"Well, you have me now so leave them alone. They have nothing to do with this!" I yell at him with tears welling up in the corners of my eyes.

Drake smiles a slow, scary smile at me before he says, "That is where you are mistaken Amara. They have everything to do with this. Especially your dear, precious Remington."

I'm even more confused now. "What do you mean?" I look at him with a questioning look on my face.

He laughs. "What, you haven't figured it out yet?"

I simply shake my head 'no' while turning around to not face him anymore.

"My dear, I am the one who turned Remington all those years ago. And the one who killed his beloved." He smiles that evil smile once more.

I whip around to face him, shock on my face."What did you just say?"

"Wow, you still don't know. Well then let me be the one to tell you. Those dreams you've been having lately? They aren't actually dreams. They are actually memories. Your memories. You are Remington's beloved from 1318, reborn. His one true love, his, soulmate if you will."

Annnnnd cliffhanger!!! Mwahahhahahaha! Also hey guys! Hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I apologize for it being so dialogue heavy. It's just how it all works out, and was needed. Also not a huge fan of the beginning but this chapter was a bit difficult to begin. Anyways, hoped you liked it, I'm glad to be back, life has been busy but pretty good.
