I set up the conference room with the help of Lia. It's been two weeks since my consultation with Amir but we finally set up lunch. He was coming with his manager, his producer, his assistant, his marketing manager/ label rep, his accountant, and his lawyer. When he sent over the list of people, both me and Shyla were shocked. I didn't know he needed that many people to sign a contract but whatever.

I got catering from Giannino's and had an array of pastas with salad and garlic bread. When we were done, I headed to my office to freshen up before the meeting started. It wasn't long before Lia let me know they were here and headed to the conference room. I walked to Shyla's office to get her. She was was taking selfies until I walk in.

"Bihh come on" I laughed

"Don't hate"

We laughed before heading into the conference room smiling.

"Good afternoon everyone" I spoke "It's a measure to have you all here. I'm Michiko but please call me Michi"

"And I'm Shyla but I'm called Shy"

"Ladies" a guy stood and shook our hands "I'm Dre, East's manager. This is our team: KD his producer, Mina his assistant, Jiya his label rep, Derek his accountant, and Gordon his lawyer"

"It's a pleasure to meet all of you" I smiled "If you all would like to start with lunch that would be fine. We have various pastas from Giannino's. The two on the end are meat free. Red sauce is beef sausage and white is just chicken Alfredo"

"I like her already" KD got up first

"Enjoy"

As everyone got their food, I stood to the side with Shy waiting. Amir came up and hugged me, catching me off guard. I laughed as I pulled away.

"You sure know how to give a warm welcome. Giannino's is my favorite"

"Mine too" I laughed "But Amir this is Shy. She is my partner in crime so if I'm ever not available she's the go to . She works PR for the corporations we have contracts with"

"Nice to meet you"

"Pleasure is all mine" she winked before laughing "But let me stop, I'm hungry"

Shy walked over to the food and began fixing her plate. After her it would only be me and Amir left to get food. We followed behind her, accidentally getting the same thing before taking a seat. I sat at the head of the table with Shy to my right and Amir to my left. Shy and I didn't really eat out food, only fixing the plates to have something for later.

While they ate, I gave an overview of the company and how we stood out against the rest. Amir's whole team was black minus his assistant who was Latina and Jiya who was biracial. I used that as a vintage point, knowing he was looking for an all black team. They agreed to the contract terms and monthly pay once I gave them a run down of ideas I had for Amir and PR gigs I already had lined up for him. Once the contract was signed, Amir and I set a lunch at some point to discuss his career and issues that have come up in the past. After that everyone began to leave. Amir lagged behind with KD.

"Now that yall are officially apart of the team" KD smirked "Come out with us. East got a hosting at Top Off. Gives us a chance to see how yall move"

"I'm down" Shy body rolled

"What about you Mich?" Amir smirked

"I would love to but I can't"

"Michi---"

"You know" I cut Shy off

"What's the problem"

"Sorry Amir but I can't. Too late notice to find a sitter for my daughter"
