"Honey your going to miss your ride?!" My mom yelled from the living room.

"Why do I have to go?" I groaned and walked down the hall to the front door

"Because sweet pea your daddy wants you see your aunt his sister and he wants you to see your cousin Keith, we already got you a bus ticket there and you are going that is final"

"Tell daddy I love him, I know he's a work so tell him after, I'm going to be late plus the bus is waiting outside" my mom smiled and hugged me

"I'll see you soon babygirl, say hi for me" she kissed my cheek and I hugged her tight. I nodded and walked out with my 2 big luggage's to the bus. I put them under the bus like the thing they put them in like a storage, then I gave my ticket to the man and went to my seat.

My mom waved and I waved back and I saw her get farther and farther as the bus drove off.

I got comfy in my seat in just closed my eyes, it's going to be a long drive from New Jersey to Tulsa Oklahoma.

I'm Amara Elle Matthews, I'm 16 almost 17 in a few weeks, and I'm from New Jersey. My dad works for this big company and my mom stays home, and well I haven't seen my cousin Keith in ages, probably since we were 6 and he was 8. My dad wanted me to see them again just for the summer and if I enjoy it that much I can probably move in, which I doubt if I'm being honest, what am I going to do in Tulsa, all I think of are tornados, cows, hillbilly's, and grass, like what am I going to do that is fun there?

Anyway I'm real nice, I hate seeing people sad, so I always try to make them smile, I made the toughest guy at my school smile, he even kissed my cheek which was surprising for a guy who thinks so low of the world. Apart from that I am totally in love with the yankees, I know I'm not from New York but I can cross a bridge and be apart of it. I even have a baseball filled with all the teams signature you know how hard that is? That ball is worth more then my life. I have a little sister called Oakley Paige Matthews she's 5 and totally adorable she is also adopted after my mom and dad had me they couldn't have anymore kids so they adopted Oakley and we love her so much. I begged my mom to let her come with but she said no maybe later in the summer.

"Ma'am were in Tulsa" the bus driver said shaking me,

"Huh? Oh, okay" I got up and got off the bus, I got my things and walked out of the station.

I was in a small town, it looked friendly, it didn't look anything like how I imagined though. I got to a pay phone and called my aunt Lisa.

"Hello?" I heard a women's voice say

"Um Hi, it's Amara, I'm in town and I don't know your address" I said nicely

"Oh hi amara it's aunt Lisa , anyway this is the address 253 Hudson rd," she said through the phone

"Okay I'll be there soon I guess, tootles" I put the phone back I looked for a taxi and there was non which got me annoyed, but I just kept walking.

Everyone looked at me strangely, I just grinned and walked. I saw 2 different types of people, leather jackets and jeans and expensive clothing. Also people with leather jackets had there hair slicked back with grease and people with expensive clothing didn't.

I walked down the side walk and looked back to see where I was going and when I turned around I didn't even notice a pole and i fell.

"Ow" I said rubbing my face

"Hey you okay?" A boy with green eyes asked me, I saw 2 of him.

"Is there supposed to be 2 of you?" I asked

"No, but there is Johnny and dal" he chuckled and helped me up,

"There we go now I can see normally" I giggled and looked at the 3 boys, one had reddish dark brown hair with green eyes, the other had tan skin and his hair fell like bangs, and the other was kinda cute, he had no grease in his hair, he had hazel eyes and pale skin, he had high cheekbones, and a good build, he was also smoking a cigarette.

"I'm Ponyboy" the one with green eyes said

"I'm Johnny" the tan teen said grinning and looking down

"And you?" I asked the cute one

"Why should I say?" He said looking at me he also had a deep New York accent

"Well I just want to know some people in town, I mean I am new, I'm Amara," I said nicely

"You're a real beaut to be walkin' all by yourself" Ponyboy said

"Well I'm looking for my cousins house, that reminds me I should get going, my aunt Lisa might get worried that I got lost or somethin' it was nice meeting you boys, I hope I see you around" I grinned and went back to walking to my aunts house.

I finally reached the house and knocked on the door.

"Amara?!" My aunt yelled out and hugged me

"Hi aunt Lisa" I smiled and hugged her tight

"You've grown into a beautiful young lady, my my my Keith might just faint and fall you for you, that sure would be funny" she said giggling I laughed and went in.

"It's such a cozy home you've got" I grinned and looked around

"It's a rats nest, but Keith is supposed to clean but never does, I have your room all ready, Dolly left for collage, she grew up so quickly" I followed her to my new room.

Everything was technically empty, there were drawers, a bed, a make up table, a desk, and a night stand with a cute lamp.

"Make yourself at home, I have to go to work but I'll be back in a while, do whatever you please honey"

"Aunt Lisa it's 5 pm?" I said confused on my she's going to work right now

"Oh I have 2 jobs, one at the diner and the other at the store, well I really have to go, bye bye hun" she left and that left me to organize and clean my room.

It didn't take me long to fix up the room, what took me long was to clean the whole house. My aunt Lisa seemed real tired so I did an act of kindness and just cleaned the house. I went to the grocery store grabbed some food, and then cooked a great dinner, I knew no one was coming anytime soon so I put a cover on the the left overs for anyone who was coming later.

I took a warm shower and put on a very cropped shirt that went up to half my ribs. Then I put on some comfy athletic shorts and went to sleep with silence.
