"Flagrate!" Sanya growled and put a flaming 'X' right next to Mavie Combe's smug strawberry head, which quite wiped the smirk off her face. "The next 'X' will be on your face- that is, if I can't think of another spell."
By the time she had even STARTED approaching the Head's office, half the bitchy people in Hogwarts were dancing uncontrollably, had their eyebrows burned off or were simply frozen flat on the floor.
She was going to ace her Practical Charms OWL the next year.
"Sanya-" Al's green eyes widened behind the glasses- he rarely wore them, unlike her- as he took in the sight of his fuming girlfriend. "I'm so sorry-"
"It's not your fault, it's Rita Skeeter and I-" She took an enormous breath so as not to break down the Head's door. "You should have warned me that things like this happen, Albus."
Noting the using of his full first name, Al bowed his black head. "I never imagined- at HOGWARTS, how could that worm have-"
"Don't call her a worm, you're insulting worms everywhere." Sanya shook her head, trying to inject some humour, despite herself. "And I- the Ball was YESTERDAY, and the paper came out like an hour ago and the whole castle already knows- my parents probably do too-"
"Your parents-" The Slytherin was struck- the Indian's parents were conservative, he knew that much. "I didn't even think-"
"You didn't." Sanya agreed, suppressing an eye roll with difficulty. "If you had, you'd have told me you have the media following you around before I let you unzip my dress in one of the Flutterby Bushes."
Al managed not to smirk at the very happy memory. "I really AM sorry-"
"Ah, Mr. Potter, Ms. Reza." The door flew open and the Headmistress walked out, drawing herself to her full height. "Perfect timing- Harry and Ginny just called on the Floo Fire."
Sanya frowned- the Floo Fire?- as Al nodded and the couple followed McGonagall inside, apprehension and anger eating away at them.
"Albus Severus Potter, if there's ANY ounce of truth to that article, we need to know- now." Ginny Potter's uncharacteristically stern voice spoke from the fireplace.
Her son's eyes widened, "No! We didn't- that not-"
"See! I TOLD you!" His mother spoke, her head turning to speak to someone stood beside her, undoubtedly her husband.
"Then fine- We'll head to her office now." Harry's distant voice spoke, before sounding slightly louder, "We're getting it sorted. Albus, Sanya, just keep your heads down."
"I'd say give any gossipers what they deserve but-" Ginny spoke before looking up to McGonagall who had a warning expression on her face.
"But what, Mrs Potter?" Minerva spoke, the occupants of the room failing to ignore the amusement in her voice.
"But that'd be irresponsible." The ex-Harpies player replied, half rolling her eyes. "Anyway, WE'RE off to give Skeeter what she deserves, so bye!"
And with that, the fire died.
Albus couldn't help a small smile that played on his lips at his mother's obvious flee from McGonagall's unimpressed, yet clearly entertained glare as his eyes met the floor.
"I don't believe there's more to be said on the matter. I'll have the house elves collect any copies of the foul article up, yet I'm afraid there's very little that can be done," the headmistress spoke as she sat at her desk, "I'm not quite willing to Obliviate my students, and so you'll simply have to keep your heads up and ears ignorant to the vile words being spoken around you."
