"I'm sure he didn't mean to imply you two breaking up!" Lily spoke, clearly disliking the idea of her brother and best friend separating.

"Of course he did! Why would he have said it if not?" Lilith replied, quite unaffected as to how Sanya's and Albus' relationship went on- as long as what was to happen was the best outcome for her friend, she couldn't care less.

Sanya put her head back against the tree she was sat by, her eyes on the sky as she heard the two Lilies throw their opinions back and forth.

"Maybe he IS just concerned!"

"But Sanya clearly stated she didn't mind!"

"But maybe he knows she does!"

"Or maybe HE does!"

"What do you mean?" Sanya looked to the eldest of the two redheads, "'maybe he does'?"

"Well, maybe it's HIM who minds the rumours, and just doesn't want to hurt you and it to seem selfish."

"Al isn't selfish!" Lily cut in quickly, defending her brother.

"I didn't mean it like that," Lilith spoke carefully. "Just that- well, he's trying NOT to hurt- Oh, never mind, it doesn't matter. It's your call, Sanya."

The girl in question shook her head, "You two've just made this situation feel 100% more complicated."

"Sorry." The two spoke sheepishly, simultaneously glancing to one another.

"You think I should talk to him again?"

"It's up to you but- Al wouldn't mean to do anything wrong. He wouldn't want to hurt you."

Sanya attempted to reply with a comforting smile, yet it came out much more as a grimace. "I know, Lily. I know."

"YOU'RE staying for the Easter holidays?" Albus's eyes nearly popped out of his head as he saw Edmund at the table, lips mouthing words silently out of a Charms book.

Ed looked up, annoyed, "Yes, I have OWLs, you know."

"In June!" The Slytherin said incredulously. "That's MONTHS away. And you love spending Easter at home."

"Well, I want good grades." He shrugged. "And besides, Mum and Dad won't be home, they're going to Belgium for work and they've got some man named As-Al- something to come in and look after us."

"And you despise being looked after." Al nodded, now smirking slightly. "You know, none of us are staying, right? Even if I'd known YOU were, I wouldn't have been able to, parents want me at home."

"So you didn't have more chances of defiling Sanya, I believe." Edmund grinned innocently at him.

"Yeah..." Al suppressed a grimace. "Have you seen her? I want to say goodbye, if I'm permitted to."

"She's gone." Lilith came up to him- them- with Peter next to her and upon seeing their horrified looks, quickly added, "Home, she's gone home. Her parents wanted to keep her with themselves."

"Don't blame them." Peter shrugged, dark blue eyes contemplative. "After she stayed alone here in Christmas break and her entire sex li-"

"That's quite enough, we don't need to rehash her- it all again." His younger brother spoke quietly but there was force behind the words. "And why haven't you left yet? I thought you were to leave via Floo an hour ago."

"Susan wanted to tell Lysander goodbye." Peter frowned, as if just realising what that entailed. "And Lucy had the entirety of the castle to say goodbye to, even the Ghosts."
