The phone started to ring as Tommy placed it to his ear. A few seconds later a female voice answered.
"Hello?"
She sounded tired, with traces of annoyance laced through her voice.
"Mollie May?"
"Tommy, hey, how are you?" Her voice picked up and he could hear the smile in her tone. "Yeah, we're all good." He sighed, "How's Edinburgh, all good up there?" "Yeah, you know how it is. Jobs are scarce but I've got a steady income which is more than most." She paused.
"Listen, Tommy, I'm sorta in the middle of some stuff here, I got to head to a meet in ten minutes. Do you want something?"
"Em, yeah, Danny Whizzbangs dead." Silence. After all these years, Mollie May couldn't believe Tommy was still his usual blunt self. "The funeral is this Sunday. We all thought you would want to know."
There was another few minutes of silence before Mollie May answered. "I'll be there." She heard Tommy cough over the phone.
"Still smoking, huh?" He cleared his throat, "Uh huh."
She smirked, but it died quickly and then she nodded, "I'll see you on Sunday."
