Rey stepped out into the ballroom, she was excited to finally see it so full of people. One of the castle servants moved her to stand next to her sister. Rey felt awkward suddenly, she hadn't been this close to Phasma since they were both little.

"Hi," Phasma said after a few moments.

"Hi me?" Rey asked, surprised that she was actually speaking to her.

Phasma nodded.

Rey stood there, awkwardly not knowing what to say.

"You look beautiful," Phasma said trying to think of something to say.

"Thank you. You look beautifuller... well not fuller... but more beautiful," Rey stumbled awkwardly.

Phasma smiled "thank you" the she turned to the crowd "so this is what a party looks like."

Rey smiled. "So many people."

Phasma nodded "I haven't seen this many people at once before."

"Me either," Rey agreed.

"And what's that amazing smell?" Phasma asked as they both took a deep whiff of the air.

"Chocolate," they said in unison, then two sisters giggled.

Rey opened her mouth to speak, enjoying being able to talk to her sister for once, but she was interrupted as one of the castle servants stepped forward.

"May I introduce the Duke of Weasel-town?"

"Wesleton, the duke of Wesleton your majesties, as your closest partner in trade it will be fitting for me to give you your first dance as queen," the man said then jumped into the air doing some sort of weird dance. Then he bowed, part of his hair falling down as he did so.

Rey giggled quietly.

"Thank you," Phasma said. "Only I don't dance"

The duke grumbled unhappily.

"But my sister does," she finished.

Before Rey could say anything, the duke pulled her onto the dance floor.

"Sorry" Phasma mumbled quietly as the duke began to dance in a strange way.

Rey gave her sister a sneaky grin, she would get her back for this one day.

"So nice to have the gates open," the duke said dancing around Rey. "Why'd  they close them in the first place? Do you know the reason?"

"No," Rey answered, feeling uncomfortable with the duke's accusing stare.

"Hmm....all right they don't call me 'The Little Dipper' for nothing" he said dipping her.

Phasma giggled as she watched her sister and the duke.

Rey squinted at her slightly, but she was smiling. She hadn't had this much fun since she was little.

After Rey finished and was walking back, Phasma laughed silently. "Well he was spritely."

Rey rubbed her sore feet. "Especially for a man in heels," she answered. The duke had stepped on her toes so many times, she'd lost count.

Phasma smiled sympathetically. "Are you alright?" she asked.

Rey smiled. "I've never been better." She looked out at the crowd of people in the ballroom, she loved being able to talk, laugh and dance...it was so different from all of the time she'd spent alone in the castle, and she was enjoying getting to spend time with her sister for a change. "I wish it could be this way forever."

"Me to," Phasma said smiling then her smile faded. "...but it can't."

"Why not?" Rey asked, she didn't understand.

"It just can't..." Phasma said in a slightly harsh tone as she turned away from her sister.

Rey didn't understand why her sister was shutting everyone out. Why wouldn't she just tell her why the gates had to be kept closed. "Please excuse me," she said.

Phasma watched sympathetically as she left.
