Chapter 8 - Anyeong haseyo!

***Anjelin's POV

Hindi mapakali si Anjelin sa upuan niya habang hinihintay na lumapag ang eroplano'ng kinalulunan ng mga taong hinihintay niya ngayon sa arrival area ng MIA International Airport. Hindi pa rin siya makapaniwala ng tanggapin niya ang tawag na iyon mula Korea just two days ago. . .

"Hello?"

"Anyeong haseyo? Oops. . sorry. . I got used to it. Hello? Am I talking with Miss Anjelin Valle?"

"Yes, this is she. How may I help you?" Lumabas ang pagka -customer service representative niya sa kabila ng pagdududa niya sa nasa kabilang linya.

" AH, yes. This is Leah Ybañez of EL Entertainment Promotions. I am one of the screening staffs who got hold of your friend's Youtube video. Of course -"

"Who?" Putol niya sa sinasabi nito. Parang lumaki ang ulo niya at hindi makapaniwala sa tinutumbok ng usapan nila.

" I am Leah Ybañez, I am also a Filipina. But I am working right now at Korea for EL Entertainment. You are aware of B-Bang, 6teen, Taeyang and of course Slaven? They are all under EL Ent. Management." Pagpapakilala nito. " I'd just like you to know that the video you uploaded with your friend Ella was really great. In fact it was choosen as winner for the 'Come Back To Me Slaven' promotions we have. Are you aware of that?"

" Y-Yes.." Lutang ang isip niyang sagot. She's trying to process the information in her mind. Pero hindi pa rin iyon mag sink-in sa pobreng utak niya.

" As I was saying, we had this promo/contest that whoever will be choosen best video singing Slaven's Come Back To Me, will be the winner. The winner will win $10,000 in cash, and free travel to Korea and spend two weeks with Slaven in the making of 'Come Back To Me's promotional single- the duet which will be the song with Slaven. I hope you are aware that the video you uploaded was sent to our Youtube official channel, so that's why we saw the video of Ella. And declared it as winner. But we wouldn't be able to do so, unless, we could reach you and talk to you about this. Do you know Slaven? And about the video contest posted on Youtube?"

"I don't know Slaven, Ella does. But I do know of the contest. I'm the one who posted the video unto your Youtube channel." Pag-amin niya.

" Oh. But why didn't you put any contact information on the video?"

" Because Ella didn't know about this. She'll be mad. But I risked my neck on this coz I know Ella will win. But how do I know you're not a fraud? And so is this contest?"

"Good question. Filipina ka nga talaga dahil wais ka. I'm flying in the next day to meet you. I already had the flight scheduled. I'll be with EL Entertainment's assistant head of Promotions, Shinye Park and another co-worker. Meet us at Mactan International Airport, two days from now. I'll send you the details later."

And now, here she is. Waiting for these 'people' to arrive.. Tiningnan niya ulit ang screen ng 'Arrivals' para sa flight ng mga ka-meet niya. 2:30 pm, that was minutes ago. Malamang nasa check-out counter na ang mga iyon. She felt silly as she's holding the placard bearing 'Leah Ybañez' on it. Iyon kasi ang instruction sa kanya ng kausap apra madali silang magkita.

She still couldn't believe it. Ella is really one lucky girl. She never meant to take the contest seriously. Gusto nga lang niyang makita kung papalarin si Ella, pero hindi niya lubos akalain na maswerte talaga ito. Dati na kasing nasabi ni Ella na maswerte ito sa mga pa-raffle at contest. Totoo nga siguro, dahil ilang beses na rin itong nanalo sa raffle draws sa company nila.
