Sabi nila, a broken heart is the best inspiration a writer can have. It stimulates the imagination to work, siguro nga. 'Cause she is finishing her novel even it's already late. The saddest part of the story where her heroine leaves Korea and goes back to her country, heartbroken. Is she picturing her own life's story? Will she end up like her heroine in the story? Well, it's her afterall, yun nga ang naging inspirasyon niya di ba? Sad, painful truth. So how it's supposed to end?
She fought back the tears trying to escape her soul's window. She just misses her family so much, that's all. After all, this will be over. She'll get back to the family she has. No more Slaven, no more crazy feelings, no more heartaches, no more memories. Or is it how it's supposed to?
Someone rings her doorbell. It's past midnight as she glances back at the bedside clock. So late, it couldn't be Taeyang. He left almost two hours ago after making sure she'll be fine. But the 'guest' persistently rang her door bell.
"Kaasar! 'Di pwedeng magsenti ng walang istorbo?" Napipilitang bumaba na siya ng higaan at tinungo ang main door ng unit niya. She was not prepared to see him, her elven prince outside.
"Putang--" Muntik na siyang mapamura sa gulat.
"I'm sorry to bother you so late. I just came by to bring your coat and phone." Itinaas nito ang coat na hawak-hawak.
"Uh, t-thanks. Goodnight."
"Can we talk?"
"Uh, it's late. Let's talk tomorrow, okay? We have plenty of time during the rehearsals."
"We don't. We'll be busy tomorrow, there will be no breaks. And I need to talk to you so badly."
"Slaven, if it's something about work we can talk it over tomorrow. It's late, I need to sleep."
"Ella, five minutes. That's all I need, after that I'll let you sleep."
Five minutes? Hindi rin naman siya titigilan nito if she refused. Kilala na niya ang ugali ni Slaven. He won't accept 'no'.
"Okay. Talk. You have five minutes and it's running." Medyo niluwagan niya ang pintuan ng pad.
"Won't you let me in?"
"We don't have the time. Four minutes and fifty seconds."
Napakamot ito sa noo, his usual mannerism.
"Uhm, Ella...It's hard to explain. But...I'll try to. So you have to listen to me well coz I'm only saying this once. I-I never want to come with Hye-je, I just don't want to humiliate her in front of those people."
"You really don't have to explain that, I totally understand. It's not for me to even be in the way for you two or anything. Uh, there's really no need for us to talk about this considering your relationship with Hye-je. I'm your contest winner, I'm just here to work with you. No explanation needed."
"Yeah but that's not really the point." "It's not entirely true when I told you I don't care if you go out with Taeyang. It's not at all true. I don't want you even going out with someone else because...because of..."
She was greatly anticipating what he's about to say. But he's having such a hard time getting his point through. What?
"Because of what?" Naiinip na niyang tanong.
