It was a welll-known fact that the Rum Tum Tugger was the biggest flirt in the entire Jellicle tribe. If he ever came across a young female, he'd do nothing but flirt his heart out.

It was also a pretty well-known fact that Bombalurina was own of the most popular females in the tribe too, as well as one of the most beautiful.

It was no wonder many toms would give anything to be in the position of Tugger, whom she rather liked. At times.

Bombalurina was used to heads turning her way whenever she walked down the street, or little episodes of hushed whispers being held behind paws.

She didn't exactly enjoy other cats whispering things behind her back and when her head was turned, especially as she had no idea what they were talking about. She didn't mind the attention though, in fact she quite liked it.

But today Bombalurina didn't have time to notice this particular behaviour. Today she gave cats another reason to stare. The look of pure anger on her usually smiling face would be enough to make anyone cower behind something.

Her paws were clenched; her mouth curved downwards; her feet stomping against the ground as if trying to break it apart. The look in her eyes made her look deranged, almost crazy.

She stopped her rampage when she caught sight of Demeter, who looked slightly amused. "Deme, where's Tugger?" She asked, loudly enough to make other cats look their way. "Over there somewhere." Demeter replied, pointing vagually around.

Bomba left again and stalked across the junkyard until she eventually caught sight of the young tom. He was leaning against a wall, chatting up some other females who looked like kits. They were holding each other and giggling hysterically, their cheeks dusted with pink. That did it.

Tugger didn't notice Bombalurina standing there until the kits did; they took one look at the vexed queen and scampered off. Only then did Tugger turn round. "Hey!" He greeted her, puffing up his mane. The smile faltered from his face when she did not reply and gritted her teeth.

"Wassup?" He questioned, warily moving closer. "You." She snarled. He raised his eyebrows and pouted. "C'mon, come over here. You can tell me all about it." He said, placing an arm around her waist.

"NO!" She yelled, pushing away his arm. "That's ENOUGH!" She shouted again. Tugger took a step backwards, his eyes widening. Since when was he that bad?

"I'm sick of this! Absolutely sick  of it!" She barked, her eyes widening yet again in anger. "Sick of what?" Tugger asked quietly, slightly scared. He was just praying to the heavyside layer no other queens were watching this, just in case.

"You!  You're always flirting with other queens and other females every chance you get, you never think of how  might feel! I regularly wonder whether we're actually still together, or if it's just a lie you made up to feel better about yourself!" Her words were like knives, but they didn't stop there.

"If you don't love me anymore, just bloody say so! I wouldn't mind if you'd just say!" She carried on. "But I do love you!" Tugger protested, still scanning the area in case another cat was in their presence. "Are you sure about that? Because you're sure not acting like it." Bomba retaliated, looking him up and down.

"I do, Bomba!" He objected, taking a step towards her. "Well... What's the meaning of all that stuff with the kits? And the other queens?" She asked, calming down ever so slightly. She could feel her heart pumping in her chest, as if it was about to burst out. Tugger's gaze fell to the floor, as if it'd suddenly become very interesting; even more so than the angry cat standing in front of him.

He mumbled something so quiet it was incomprehensible. "What?" Bomba snapped. "I'M SCARED OF COMMITMENT, OK?!" He cried, making Bombalurina jump. "What?" She said again, softer this time. Tugger stayed silent, his cheeks dusted with pink. Damn, he hoped no-one else was around to hear that.

Bomba stayed silent too, then took a step towards him. She slowly placed a paw on his arm, unsure of what his reaction would be. He looked up, into her eyes. "So you do care?" Bomba asked, scared of what he would answer.

"Of course I do. You're the most beautiful queen I've ever laid eyes on, how could I not?" He replied. "Gosh, that was fluffy." He laughed. She laughed too, then threw her arms around the tom.

Could she have stayed mad at him? Like, realistically? Probably not. He was too damn hot to stay mad at for more than a day. Bomba buried her head in his chest and he gently put his head on top of hers. "I'm sorry." Tugger whispered in her ear, strangely making her shiver.

"Nah, I shouldn't have got all worked up over nothing. It's my fault." Bombalurina protested, giving him a squeeze. Their relationship wasn't flawless, but it was enough to stay strong.
