Chapter 26: His Destiny

As the sun sets on the mansion,I take Sephrina,who's in my hands,towards the backyard.

The sun's bright glow makes the mansion light up. The mansion is always like this,the windows glow with rainbow-like colors and it lights up the grass in front of it.

I see the moon and a little bit of the stars that is shining on top of the beautiful sunset.

If Sephrina was still alive,this would have been a perfect moment. But...she's dead. But...how?

(Flashback)

I was looking at her body,her fragile body. It is still with no sign of life.

The woman that I once knew...the woman that I once loved...the woman that was my friend...is now dead.

I can't do anything to help her. The room stays still with blood everywhere,glass on the floor,and papers spread out everywhere,even on the carpet.

How could she do this? Was it me? Was it...too much? Or did her parents come in and do this? No,no. They are not here,they don't even know where she's at.

I pick her up,and I look for a pulse...but I forgot...she doesn't have one. But,I listen to her chest to see if she has a beat in there somewhere.

Nothing. Her body is lifeless. She can't listen,she can't speak,she can't move,she can't....she can't love me anymore.

She was our only friend. Her life was a wreck,I know. Oh...Sephrina. If you can hear me...up there...in a brand new world...You would know how I feel.

Without you,I'm weak. Without you,I can't be with anyone and without you...I can never be myself again.

I'm lost without you. I'm lost without the person I love most. I'm...im...

I love you.

I drop her to the ground and I fall down;tears are falling down my face. Now every time I think of her...I think of that day when we will never see each other again.

Which is now. Tears keep falling and falling;I start to sob as hard as i can. This life of mine...ruined. This life with Sephrina...ruined. Everything I've lived for,longed for,and saw...ruined.

I put my hands up to my face and I fall with my back to the door. I can't take anything anymore. This was my life and I loved it! Ever single bit of it...now...it just a blur of my imagination.

I hear a slam and I stop crying and I hear voices...Shadow is talking to who? The person says his name is Techno. Hmm...

Then,I get it out of my head. I slap myself saying,"Stop it! There's someone else you need to see." I look back at her. Her long red hair,her hazel eyes,her voice...it keeps going in my head. My head rolls deep in thought as I see her face.

The face full of life...the face I loved. Could this be over? Our adventure...over? No. It isn't. We have to keep going,no matter what,even if we have to stay here forever.

The sun starts to set...I pick her up and I walk out only to be seen by lots of people. Shadow introduced Techno to me. Calling me short,eh? Let's see how you're children will be when they see their father having a robotic hand,huh? And their mother...a wolf. Hah! Just kidding! I love them both.

I wondered when this day will come. And it came too early. No...no...NO! I'm thinking about her again...and again...and again...and again...and again.

Her image comes back to life,Shadow gets very scared. I tell her the truth,but somehow she doesn't believe me. We get into a fight...blah...blah...blah.

(Flashback ends)

I look at the sky. It is now nighttime. My flashback took too long. Her clothes are wrinkled and are now starting to get wet. Wait...oh. It is raining,too.

I walk in the rain,and I hold her close. Her body is now cold,freezing cold. Her body was warm,but why is it now cold? It doesn't matter now. All that matters is...Sephrinas gone. I put her in a bed that's in the private room that's in the yard.

I watch as her body becomes from happy and full of life to dead and very cold. I shut her eyes and her beautiful eyes are now gone from my memory. I worry about her hair. I put it back in place and I say,"I'm sorry if I wasn't there with you. I love you,Sephrina Saturina Spade." I kiss her forehead. My last kiss to her.

I walk out and I go back into the mansion. Everyone looks back at me with surprised looks except for Mozart. He's angry at me. I walk upstairs and into my room.

I clean everything up,back as normal. Then,I get into my night clothes and I lay down on my bed.

I can't sleep. I try,but every time I do...I have dreams,bad dreams about what happened to her. I watched as she fell down;I pushed her too hard. And then...the suicide.

The last thing she said,"Stop it!" And not,"I love you." I turn my head into the pillow and I cry,not sob,but cry.

Then,when I least expected it,I drifted off to sleep.

My new dream came to life:

My new destiny...Lead Everyone to freedom and make everyone have a great adventure.
