Chapter 51: Napoleon Is Gone

This pain will never go away. The past is over...it's my own world now.

I get colder as the wind takes it course. It moves east and the colder it gets,the more I suffer my loss. My loss of Sephrina. I hope her life is a good one...

I look up to the sky and my hands make magic. It turns yellow and I say to the sky,"Goodbye,everyone. Goodbye,planet. Goodbye,Universe. Goodbye,life." I put my hands together and it goes up into the air and it moves with the wind.

I go back to the tropical forest and everything is wet. The trees and the ground make puddles of despair and sadness. I look at my reflection wherever I go. Will this mourn ever end? Where art thou love? Where is thy heart and...where's mine? Where is my heart that Sephrina had to take away from me? Is it the best way to figure out where everyone is?

My heart is gone with the blow of her. My soul shatters into ripples of time and space. My hair falls down towards the deep,dark Earth. My clothes are in ruins with a past taste to it. My face freezes in place with nothing else to say. A picture is worth a thousand words,but I am worth none.

Napoleon Bonaparte...my stupid name. I wish I was back on Earth,fighting for the people,fighting for the countries and the world,fighting for...me. I wish I was taller,I wish I could back to school,I wish...I wasn't born.

The portal appears and I step through it. The colors die down into black and white,like my dying body. I catch the meaning of everything,now. Never see anyone again,never go out again,and never see her again. Never fight,never say,never do,never see,never talk...never breathe.

The first step was back into the basement in Sephrinas home. Her parents rush down to see me and they say,"Oh...it's you. What do you want?" I look at them,I'm back as a 14 year old guy who doesn't believe in anything anymore. "Nothing." "Where's Sephrina?" Natalie says,her hands on her husbands shoulders. "She's gone." I say and I walk away. I see a hand go up and I stop,but I don't turn around. "Gone with them? With Mozart and the others?" He says.

I reach out my arms and Zeus smacks my arms with a ruler and he says,"Naughty man,no,naughty little boy. Bring her back and we will reward you." "No." I say back. "And why?" "Because...she isn't actually,with anyone anymore." "So,that means..." "Yes,she's gone. She's gone from me. You can go in there and capture her and do anything with her...if you wish." "Wait a minute." Natalie says,reaching out for the ruler. "She's not with you anymore? And don't you lie to me." "She took my heart away from me. She took everything that I loved the most from my shameful self. Do whatever you want,I...I don't care anymore."

They smile brightly and they pat my head and Zeus says,"Good boy. Now,go back and-hmm...actually we'll keep you." He shuts the door and the portal is gone.

"First of all,Natalie will take care of you while I go out somewhere. Goodbye,hon." He kisses her on the cheek and he leaves upstairs and we hear a door shut.

She smiles grimly and the first thing she does is takes both of my arms and drags me to the living room. She lays on the couch and she says,"Now...do something."

My body changes back into my older 23 year old self and I say,"Yes,my love." And she smiles brightly and I kiss her.

The taste is raw and bitter but I keep doing it. It's all for Sephrina,not me. I have to keep them occupied by me and me only. If this fails,she will be killed and it will be all my fault.

This is for Sephrina. Sephrina,thou shall come back for you. God help us all.
