"Noona!" shouted Ahn Chin Ho as he saw Ye Jin walk along the crowd.
Ye Jin who looked back to see who called her out, smiled as she saw her younger brother standing severeal feet away from her. She hurriedly walked over to him, suffocating the poor guy into her tight embrace.
"Chin Ho-ya!" she exclaimed, her voice sounding with happiness as she let him go.
"Aish! Chincha!' complained the brother, fixing his clothes.
The sister smiled, noticing her brother has grown taller and became manlier over the couple of months she hasn't seen him.
"Yah, didn't you come here because you missed me?" she protested.
Chin Ho shook his head as he answered her, "Araso, I missed you sooooo much." putting a lot of sarcasm into it.
Ye Jin smiled as she put him in a head lock messing with his hair as a punishment.
"Noona!" he said retreating. As she let him go, he fixed his hair back into place, hiding a smile. "You stil haven't changed, have you?"
The older one laughed answering her brother's question. She looked around to see if maybe her parents had come too.
Chin Ho looked at her worriedly, knowing their parents couldn't make it due to their busy schedules. "Ye Jin-noona," he started off slowly. "Mom and Dad could't make it and they're really sorry. Appa had to stay longer at the hospital and Umma has to teach tomorrow early and wouldn't be able to travel that long and make it back."
Understanding their reason, Ye Jin nodded knowing her parents were proud of her even if they weren't present. "At least my dongsaeng is here~" she said in a sing-song kind of way while pinching both his cheeks.
The brother sighed as he shook of her hands. "Ah! That's right!" he said in excitement. "Dong Ju hyung came with me with his girlfriend."
Girlfriend? Ye Jin didn't know his friend, Kang Dong Ju, was dating. Well, she has been gone for quite some time now, she thought. She smiled anyway not being able to wait to see his friend and his lucky girlfriend.
"I'll go get them." Chin Ho said before disappearing.
Ye Jin wanting to walk to one of the tables to get some food, unfortunately bumped into a stranger causing the stranger's drink to spill on herself and the floor. She immediately bowed apologizing, "I'm so sorry!"
The stranger who knew it was an accident was about to reply, "Anie-" before stopping seeing who the person she bumped into as Ye Jin lifted her head with a symphathetic look on her face. She quickly changed her tone upon seeing her old classmate.
"Tch, yah! Ahn Ye Jin, look what you did." huffed the girl.
Ye Jin who lifted her head saw Park Choon Hae, also known as her bully. "Choon Hae-ya, Mianhae." she apologized sincerely knowing it was her fault.
Choon Hae rolled her eyes not listening to Ye Jin's any words. "You think just because you're famous now, it will make it okay?" she asked. "Just because I'm just a normal person doesn't mean you can step all over me." she exagerrated.
"It's not like that Choon Hae-ya." she said calmly trying to calm her down. She knew Choon Hae would try to make a big scene out of this. "It really was an accident."
"Accident? Ha! You probably were just jealous of me that you wanted to ruin my dress." she said not making any sense.
"Why would I--" she started, but shook her head. "Nevermind, let's just get you cleaned up." she offered.
"So you could ruin my dress more? No thank you." she replied. "If my dress is ruined, so should yours." she said while lifting up glass that still had a little bit of red liquid in it ready to throw it to the girl.
Ye Jin prepared fot the worst, closing her eyes waiting for the splash to come.
"Ah, neh~ Kamsahamnida" interrupted a male taking the glass out of Choon Hae's hand and sipping right from it.
Ye Jin who heard the man's voice opened her eyes as she saw Woohyun drinking the glass that was supposed to be all over her. "Woohyun sunbae." she whispered to herself.
The flabbergasted Choon Hae stood there frozen not knowing what to do.
Woohyun smiled at her cheekily and handed her back the glass after drinking the little content it had in there. "Ahh~" he breathed loudly. "Now that's where wine should be." patting his stomach and winking at Choon Hae.
Just then another man's voice called out, "Chagiya~" before wrapping his arms behind Choon Hae.
Now Ye Jin stood there frozen. Dong Ju's so-called girlfriend was Choon Hae? It couldn't be right? She asked herself. It just wouldn't make sense, Dong Ju was one of Ye Jin's few friends and now he's dating the girl who made her life miserable in school.
"Eo?" exclaimed Dong Ju noticing his girlfriend's dress was soaked in red. "What happened?" he asked.
Choon Hae who was afraid of saying anything in front of Woohyun answered, "I-I accidentally bumped into Ye Jin-ssi." she said using formalities between her and Ye Jin.
Ye Jin nodded as it was what happened. "It was my fault, I'm really sorry." she apologized still sincerely.
"Anieyo, I wasn't looking either." she answered angelically, hiding under her mask.
Woohyun lifted one his eyebrows at her answer, he just saw her threaten Ye Jin and now changing into an innocent girl who was the victim.
"We should get you cleaned up." the boyfriend said worriedly as he guided his girlfriend out of there. "Mianhae Ye Jin-ah, I'll talk to you later." he looked back.
Ye Jin didn't know what to respond and just nodded, not knowing if she was feeling hurt or jealous.
Woohyun who was looking at her expression could sense her being sad. Did she like that guy? He asked himself. He shook his head right away, "Do you like him?" he bluntly asked.
"Bwo?!" Ye Jin asked offguard.
"I said, do you like him? Did that girl steal away that guy who you like?" he asked straight forwardly.
Ye Jin laughed at her sunbae. Is he being jealous? "Anieyo, he's just one of my close friends." she answered honestly.
Woohyun nodded, but still not satisfied with answer. "So, what's the catch? Why was that girl being nasty around you?"
"Ah, Choon Hae?" she said. "She's never liked me for some reason, I just can't see my friend dating her. I know what she's capable of and she doesn't deserve a great guy like Dong Ju." she finished.
Nodding in satisfaction, Woohyun smiled, knowing the truth. "That's good."
Ye Jin raised her eyebrows, "Sunbae, didn't you just see how mean she was? How can you say it's good that they're together?"
"Ani, not about that, about you liking him." he explained. "At least I know I don't have any competition." he smiled to the girl sheepishly.
