Chapter 23

I heard Finn scoff and footsteps approach my direction.

Suddenly an arm was placed on my back and another on my thigh, putting pressure so I buckled my knees and was swooped up from the ground quickly. Grunting in pain for a couple seconds I quickly glanced at the person who was holding me and started to walk.

Finn Wolfhard.

My eyes widened and I felt my face get warm but it was already warm because I got shot. Finns face was also I little red, which only made me blush i little more but made me question, why was HE flustered. I've never seen him blush and hes like a man whore.

"Wh-what are you-" I protested but was quickly cut off.

"Shush Sink, I don't want to here your bullshit about you can take care of yourself because you clearly cant because you literally got your self shot and you cant even walk- I mean you did that all so you could protect me, which means your cant take care of yourself." Finn interrupted and spoke quickly. I was fazed and decided to stay quite for now. But finn stopped walking and turned around to face the others. They all too, looked fazed and became even more content and fazed when they saw his face a a little red and mine was also a little more red than before.

"Well? Are you just gonna stand there all day like idiots?" Finn said and turned around, continuing to walk downhill. I just pressed my lips in a thin line and escorted the situation. Knowing how stubborn he is by now, hes not putting me down until he wants to.

"Why....why did you do that?" Finn asked seeming a little sad and confused.
I stayed silent for a moment. Why the hell did I do that in the first place? Because I clearly dont know my self. The silence wavered over us. I didn't know what to say.

"That was....that was the nicest thing anybody has done for me in a long time. It just took me by surprise that someone....I dont know...cares about me?, finn speaking started to speed up, no your probably dont care about me. Nobody really does actually-"
I placed my hand awkwardly on his cheek. "I- um I do care about you, odly. Actually I dont know why I did pretty fast considering we've only known each other for 2 days. But um....I have a good feeling about this treaty we made, deep inside, and i- I dont know it's so weird because it takes me forever to care for someone, and when I noticed that they were going for you I just had to, I dont know it just clicked inside of me. Almost like...destiny. maybe something good will come out of this." I let my speech out honestly. It was so weird and cheesy but I was only speaking the truth.

The awkwardness loomed the air again and we both remained silent for a bit.
"Thanks.." finn whispered genuinely, almost meeting the bottom of the hill. My hand still rested on his cheek and I awkwardly patted his face before letting go and resting my hand on my lap.
It wasn't awkward anymore. We had this comfortable silence after we cleared the air.

We had finally reach where all the cars were. And my dumbass just realized that Jaeden didnt bring his car and we both came on our skateboards. As if Lucas had caught on to my thoughts, "Hey sink? Need a ride? I noticed you and Jaeden...have your skateboards." I nodded slowly. A headache was starting to form.

Finn carried me all the way to Asher car in the backseat. As I expected him to shut the door after he placed me in the backseat and leave to his hideout, he unexpectedly hopped into the seat right next to mine. I furrowed my eyebrows at him, "what are you doing?" I said, but it came out weaker than I thought. I was becoming weaker. He scrunched his face with a smirk, "I'm going with you, obviously" he said as if I was the stupidest person in the world right now. I sighed and tried to keep my eyes open. I could almost feel the life drain from my face.
