The Dangerous Game

Chapter 13

"So let's get started shall we?"
A tall guy said. My eyes went immediately to him. He was a little shorter than Finn, also had curly hair but a friendly face. I noticed that he had his nails painted black and wore a skater outfit- and a thrasher shirt. We were practically matching, the only difference was I was wearing white and he was wearing black.

"Hey you must be Sadie Sink, I'm Jack."

"You guys look like twins." Another girl said as she popped into the room. My eyes darted to her. I've never seen her before. She was tall, blonde and had one of those sweat girl outfits.

"And who am I looking at Finn?" I asked still scanning the two. Jack smirked at me and introduced the girl, "This is Maddie. Shes our tech girl."

"Hi! Do you want some drinks?" She asked politely. I furrowed my eyebrows and nodded yes. She took off in another direction to what I presume to go get drinks. I looked at finn and gave him a questionable look.

"What?" He whispered to me. "Did you seriously hire her." I asked. Who would hire one of those people? A softie? Of all people.

"What do you mean?" He said turning to me.

"She means why the hell do you have an innocent girl in your fucking gang?" Lucas said stepping forward and answering for me.

Finn simply rolled his eyes. He clearly forgot Lucas was here and wasnt happy about it. "Shes good. She needed money and boom. Shes here." Finn replied and walked into a room. I looked to Lucas and shrugged my shoulders and followed the tall boy into the room.

We entered a bright room with computers and tablets and wall screens. "Holy shit."

"Right? We keep things modern around here." Finn replied smugly to Lucas.

I looked at Lucas who had his mouth gaping at the technology. In our gang we keep things nice and old fashioned. Why? Because were fucking broke that why. 

Finn made himself comfortable by plopping onto a couch that was on the other side of the room.

"Welcome to my crib!" Finn said proudly at the technology and the rest of the items present in his house.

"This is actually really cool!" Lucas said stepping forward and taking a closer look at all the gear. He must be into tech stuff since hes so intrigued. Maybe that's what I should assign him to do in the gang.

I refocused my attention on Finn, "Now care to explain where my bestfriend is?" I said crossing my arms. His chocolate brown eyes quickly shifted to my attention. He stayed quite for a bit, continuing to stare into my eyes. I couldn't help but feel a normal yet cold stare.

But that wont suprise me of course. We are long distant gang rivals. "Look...Sadie....if I'm going to give u valuable information I do need your word that you will in exchange, help us retrieve Noah too." Finn said actually sounding professional.

I rolled my eyes at the mention of my ex best friend noah. "Why would you want to save someone like him?" I replied slightly clenching my jaw. Finn continued with that stare, but I was glad to return the cold gaze back to him. He finally continued, "Noah Schnapp is a valuable asset to our gang. As much as I despise him he is important."

I snickered at him mentioning Noah was important, "At what? Being a spy? Betraying others? I dont get how you can find someone like him trustworthy."

"Why? Because he fooled you and began working for me?" Finn replied coldly. The tension in the air was really thick and I knew Lucas could feel it too. I scoffed at Finns comment about Noah, "Lucas let's go well find Asher ourselves." I said turning around and heading to the door. I heard quick footsteps to what I presumed were Lucas's steps.

But they weren't.

A warm hand reached to my wrist to stop in my tracks from leaving the room. I slowly gazed upon the warm and large hand that layed on my wrist. My gaze slowly going up to the person whom it belonged to.

I followed the slightly pale arm up to their face. Their freckles immediately caught my attention.

For I caught myself starring into Finn Wolfhards eyes.
