*this is the first chapter in the story and is really awful. It doesn't reflect the rest of the story.*
**this story will have some triggers. I may or may not put warnings before hand. These topics include self harm, eating disorders, depression, and suicide. Also, it is a boyxboy story. Don't like, don't read. Thank you!**
Hunters POV:
I woke up to my alarm. Another day of pure torture. I'm 16 1/2, male, gay, and depressed. Which had led to some other issues. I'm Hunter. Hunter Jones. I rolled out of my bed and found my way to the bathroom. I got dressed, brushed my teeth, and stared into the mirror at my hair. It was brown with blonde-ish ends. It was also fluffy and could never be tamed. I tried brushing it out but it just didn't work. I walked down the stairs to my mother, who was in the kitchen making me breakfast.
"Hey Hunter. Your meds are on the counter, and I've got some bacon and eggs cooking for you." She said cheerily.
"Thanks mom but I'm late, so I'll just get an apple." I mentally groaned. I made sure to take my meds with a glass of water sitting next to them.
"Ok, just make sure you get a good lunch, alright?"
"Yeah, sure." I said as I walked through the door. The sunlight immediately shining through my ripped black skinny jeans, black converse, t-shirt, and light yellow sweater. I walked to the bus stop and pulled out my phone. 3 new texts.Sam: Hey man, you alright?
Parker: Hey, are you ok? You left in a hurry mumbling oddly. Please respond, I'm worried.
Unknown: Haha, so weak last night.
Delete.
To Sam: Yeah I'm good. Just a headache was all.
To Parker: I just got a bad headache and had to go. I was talking to myself under my breath about ibuprofen. I'm sorry I scared you.
Parker. It's ok. Just glad you feel better. 😁
Parker: Sit here on the bus?
To Parker: Yeah, I want to talk anyway.
Parker: Kk.
Me and Parker Evans have been best friends since we were 7. Now, we went to the same high school. Just then, the bus pulled up, and I climbed on. I quickly found Parker in our usual spot.
"I'm glad you're ok. You really worried me."
"Sorry" I quickly mumbled. "So, about last night, I didn't actually have a headache...The people at your house made my anxiety really bad and I went to the bathroom and I had a really bad panic attack. I'm sorry I scared you so much." He hugged me.
"You should have found me. We could have gone to my room and I could have helped you" He said, still hugging me. He smelled faintly like cologne and vanilla.
"I know." I said voice breaking.
"It's ok." Parker said, hugging me even tighter.
The bus pulled up at school, and Parker let me go. "Lockers?"
"Lockers." I said, wiping my eyes.
Me and Parker have a routine where we each accompany one another I our lockers, then walk together to our first class. When we walked to Geography, I got slammed against the lockers. Jay, the school bully held my shirt in his fist, and slammed my head into the lockers. Parker was held back by one of Jay's little followers. He slept me go and walked away to his class. Parker hurried over to me but I got up. "Let's just go to geography." I said. Parker stood there stunned for a minute before catching up with me.
