~Imani's POV~:

Grinning, I stretched my arms high over my head. I glanced over at my fiance and a plethora of memories from what we did last night came rushing into my mind. As I twisted my hips to wake up my body, a sudden neausea came over me. Covering my mouth, I flew out of the bed and ran for the bathroom.

I dropped to my knees in front of the toilet bowl and heaved all of the contents from my stomach into it. I felt Dee pulling back my box braids and rubbing my back comfortingly. "You okay?" I nodded my head as I sat back on my feet to catch my breath.

"Morning sickness." He smiled, running his hands through my hair.

"It'll all be worth it, Immy."

Dee helped me up to my feet and I shakily walked to the sink. "I'm just gonna brush my teeth." He kissed my cheek and gave my waist a squeeze.

"Okay. I'm gonna go make us breakfast." After I brushed my teeth, I made my way downstairs.

I sat down at the island in the kitchen, phone in hand. I glanced up at Dee who had turned around and flashed me his million dollar smile. I returned it and unlocked my phone. Just as I was about to get on Instagram, my phone dinged. It was a text message from Reese.

From: Reese

Hey hey hey! Mom insists that u me nd her go out for lunch.. u up to it?

"Looks like Reese and my mom want to go out for lunch. I guess they want to talk to me about the engagement and the baby." Damiun suddenly plopped a plate in front of me filled with bacon, eggs and waffles. I hated pancakes.

"Well that's fine. I need to go grocery shopping anyway."

To: Reese

Sure, time & place?

*~*

Dressed in a pair of black jeans, a white sleeveless tunic, a black leather jacket, and black Timberlands, I was ready to go. I walked out of our bedroom and downstairs where Dee was waiting on me. He stood up and looked me up and down. "You look nice."

"Thanks, babe." He grabbed my hand and we started walking toward the front door.

"So I'll drop you off and you'll text me when you're done?" I shook my head as I reached for the car door.

"No, I'm sure Reese will drop me off." He nodded and started the car.

"What did you say the name of the place was?"

"Nando's."

~Damiun's POV~:

"Have fun, babe." Imani smiled and leaned over to kiss me before getting out of the car. As I sped off, I lit up a cigarette. I hadn't been smoking lately and there was no way I could smoke around Imani. I didn't want to jeopardize her health or the baby's.

As I got onto the freeway, my phone began ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hey baby, you on your way?" My hand involuntarily clenched into a fist in my lap at the sound of her voice.

"Yeah, I'll be there in 15." I hung up before she had the chance to respond and I put more pressure on the accelerator. I ran a hand through my curls and cranked up the radio.

I need to end this ..

~

"Oh, you're here!" I pushed my way inside and began pacing.

"Clarissa, we need to end this." The dainty, brown-haired girl walked up to me and ran her skinny fingers down my chest. She leaned forward and I got a perfect view of her boobs. I was suddenly disgusted.

"But why, baby? You need to get rid of Imani so you can have me.. I'd be all yours." I pushed her away gently.

"But I can't get rid of Imani. She's pregnant with my baby." I swear I saw Clarissa's eyes show a spark of fire.

"Why the fuck would you do that? You've ruined everything!"

"Hey," I shouted with anger," you're my bitch, you don't call any shots! I do! And if I say we're over, we're over!" I turned and headed toward the door but I felt a tiny hand grip my wrist.

"No, no. I'm sorry, one last time? Please.." Her hand found its way to my crotch and I grunted. I pushed her against the wall.

"Fine."

~Imani's POV~:

"Immy!" I put a smile on my face as my mom rose from her seat, her mysteriously silver hair sleeked back into an elegant ponytail. Her slender arms wrapped around me in a motherly hug and I inhaled her perfume.

"Hi mom." I sat beside my sister. Her natural, fiery red hair framed her heart-shaped face. She still had that stupid smirk on her face. "Hi, Reese."

It seemed as though they had been sitting awhile because they already had drinks. I assumed they ordered food already.

"So.. mom. What did you want to talk about?" She shrugged, a familiar sly smile on her face.

"I want to be filled in on .. all of this crap going on. It happened so fast, Imani." I looked down at my hands that were clasped on the table.

"I know mom.. I just feel like this is right. I feel like we're meant to be together." For once, Reese spoke.

"How far along are you?" I smiled involuntarily at the question.

"Just 2 months." My mother swirled her straw around in her drink.

"I don't feel too good about that Damiun Veal boy. Something's off about him, you two have been on and off for much too long."

"Ma.. I love him. When you love somebody, you do everything possible to make it work."

My mom looked at me skeptically. "Be careful."
