~Imani's POV~:

"No!!!! Why the heck did she do that?!" I sat on the couch, curled up comfortably against Jerome. A spoon that once had ice cream on it dangled from my mouth.

"These motherfuckers are dumb as hell, Imani. Why are we watching Twilight?" I glanced up at the 23 year old who had his face scrunched up in disgust.

"Listen, it's better than watching Nemo a hundred and kazillion times." Jerome gasped, Twizzlers hanging out of his mouth.

"That's rude." Before I retaliated, my phone went off.

"Hmmmm, I wonder who texted me." Rome had lost interest in me; his eyes were locked on the tv.

From: Jay

Hey.. we should chill today

I rose an eyebrow, smirking.

To: Jay

Sure, where at?

I locked my phone and poked Rome's side. "Aye, aye you. I got a date." He was clearly uninterested and mumbled through a mouthful of ice cream he just shovelled into his mouth.

"Oh really? Who with?" I smiled as Jay texted me back.

"Jaerre."

~

Since I was dressed like a bum at Jerome's, he dropped me home so I could change. He had nothing to do so he dropped me at the park where Jaerre and I were meeting.

Dressed in a pair of bleach-wash jeans and a half blue half cream top, I walked toward Jay who was sitting on one of the park benches. He rose from his seat, a smile on his face. He was clad in a blue-rimmed diamond snapback, a Mula Gang hoodie, black jeans and blue and red KD's. I had to admit.. he did look fine.

"Whoa, we're matching." I laughed as he pulled me into a hug. "You look pretty, though." I blushed at his compliment but held his gaze.

"Thanks, you look good too." He resumed his seat and I sat beside him, crossing my legs. "Any particular reason why you wanted to chill?"

He shrugged, checking his phone briefly. "Nah.. I think we could be good friends. I have dirt on Damiun too. Not to be a hater or anything but you're his fiance I just feel like you should know." I sat up, my interest level spiking.

"What kinda dirt..?" Jay sighed and looked at his fingernails.

"I don't know if I should tell you this or not.. it's not my place." I huffed.

"Look, you can't tell me and just disappear. You gotta stick around." He chuckled dryly.

"I don't leave, people usually leave me. We gon be bestfriends?" Jay held out his pinky childishly with a pouty face. I couldn't help but giggle at how adorable he was.

I joined my pinky with his. "Promise."

"Okay.. well you're not gonna wanna hear this.." I crossed my arms and mentally prepared myself for anything coming.

"Just tell me."

"I think you know this but Damiun's on drugs.. like hard drugs. He's getting worse too." I swallowed thickly and nodded.

"I kinda figured. Is there anything else?" Jay was avoiding my gaze as he said this.

"Do you know Clarissa?" My blood boiled in my veins at the sound of her name.

"Yeah, she's a fucking bitch. Why?"

"I think Dee might have something going on with her." I laughed in denial.

"I really doubt that.. he knows how much I hate her." Jay shrugged, finally looking at me.

"I've seen them together before.. like together together." I rose an eyebrow in confusion and he clarified himself. "Making out.. doing drugs together."

I suddenly felt nauseous and leaned forward, my braids flipping over. I held my head as a million waves of emotion hit me. What bullshit. "I think I'm gonna be sick."

Saliva watered my mouth and I distanced myself from my new friend as all of the contents from my stomach came pouring out. I'm having a baby for the wrong person..

~Damiun's POV~:

"Clarissa.. we gotta stop one day." The slender girl was sitting on my lap half naked and kissing down my neck. She giggled drunkenly and lifted her head up. Her forehead pressed against mine and my eyelids fluttered.

"I don't think so. You know I'm way better than that bitch you're gonna get married to." Anger suddenly rushed through me and I pushed her off of me. She gasped as she crashed to the floor. Fear was present in her eyes as I balled up my fists and headed toward her.

It's not me, it's the coke..
