"I do," Abigail says.
"You may now kiss the bride," the priest says.
Abigail and John kiss and it's the sweetest thing.
We clap and cheer for their love.
The summer heat bakes down on us and we're basking in a glow of happiness.
This brings hope for a new life, for everyone. Charles and I have officially bought Hanging Dog Ranch. But we thought we'd stick around for the wedding.
To be honest, I wouldn't miss it for the world.
John and Abigail hug.
It warms my heart. I can't help but smile.
Then Uncle finds his banjo and they have their first dance.
I remember when it was me and Charles.
A long time ago.
I look at him and smile and he takes my hand and squeezes it three times.
I love you.
"I love you too," I whisper.
We watch them dance.
We're hopeful and happy. Blissful in the joy of love.
Joyful in the company of each other.
When we're all together, the world is perfect.
And so begins and endless summer.

That is the actual end of the book.
Oh my goodness.
It's been a wild ride, to be honest, but I've loved every part of it and I sincerely hope you all did too.
Thank you so much for reading this. 🤠
