A Poem For Makeup

By: Chiiineee

I am a painter

Who covers my flaws with a brush

Hide my imperfections

With fine powder

Conceal my pimples and scars

A beauty from a bottle

Put a contour, blush on cheeks

Defining my eyebrows everyday

Wondering if it could it also define me.

Thank you eyeliner for defining my chinita eyes

Thank you false eyelashes for elongating my false hope

Hoping that maybe the society can finally appreciate me

The way I see myself worthy

But still, thank you make up for realizing

That beauty isn't about covering all of my flaws

Hiding the scars, but simply means

Beauty is not about perfections

But by accepting and being yourself
